T he Come Sail Away designer series papers make it easy to create a great guy card!
Project Recipe
Cardstock Measurements (in inches):
Night of Navy: 4-1/4 x 8-1/4 scored at 5-1/2;
3-1/8 x 4-1/8; 1-5/8 x 2-3/8; scrap for die cut.
Balmy Blue: 2-1/2 x 4; 3-1/4 x 4-1/4
Whisper White: 4 x 5-1/4; 1-1/2 x 2-2/14
Designer Series Paper pattern #1: 2-3/8 x 3-7/8
Designer Series Paper pattern #2: 3 x 4
Fold the card base at the score line, then adhere the whisper white layer on the inside.
Adhere the 2-1/2 x 4 layer of Balmy Blue on the left panel, then adhere pattern #1 designer series paper on the Balmy Blue layer.
Adhere the 3-1/8 x 4-1/8 Night of Navy layer on the 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 Balmy Blue layer, then adhere designer series paper pattern #2 on that.
Take a section of the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine and wrap it around the front of the previous layer twice, holding it in place on the backside with adhesive. Take another piece of the twine and tie a knot on the front in the center of the twine, then wrap the ends around the back and hold in place with adhesive.
Adhere this panel to the left side panel of the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Be careful to only add Dimensionals to the left side of the panel otherwise the card will not open!
Ink up your greeting (I used a greeting from the Peaceful Moments stamp set) in Night of Navy ink, and stamp on the small piece of Whisper White cardstock. Adhere that to the small Night of Navy piece, then adhere to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Using the Smooth Sailing dies and your die cutting machine, cut out the wheel from Night of Navy cardstock. Adhere the wheel to the card front as shown using a mini glue dot.
