E veryone likes to get flowers, and sending someone a bouquet of flowers in the mail is sure to put a smile on their face! This card features the Flowers of Friendship Bundle, and I used several of the new 2021-2023 In Colors on this card as well as the new Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder. Read on to learn how to make this card!
Project Recipe
Cardstock measurements in inches:
Fresh Freesia: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 folded in half to form your card base
Fresh Freesia: 4 x 5-1/4
Basic White: 2 pieces measuring 4 x 5-1/4 (one for inside and one to cut out the scalloped rectangle).
Scraps of Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink and Fresh Freesia for the leaves and flowers
1. Using your die cutting machine and the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder, emboss the 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock; set aside. Next cut out a scalloped rectangle out of one of the pieces of Basic White cardstock using the second largest scalloped die from the Scalloped Contours Dies, and set aside.
2. Using the larger flower image, stamp the flower twice in each of the 3 colors using the respective ink color.
Tip: Leave at least an inch or so of space between the 2 stamped flowers to make room for the incidental pieces that will get punched out when you punch out the flower.
3. Punch out the flowers and layer them one on top of the other as shown. Add an In Color Jewel to the center of each flower.
4. Ink up the small and larger leaf images in Soft Succulent ink and stamp on the Soft Succulent cardstock. Again, leave plenty of room between the stamped leaves to account for the incidental pieces that will get punched out when you punch out the leaves.
5. Ink up your greeting in Evening Evergreen ink and stamp on the lower right corner of the scalloped rectangle.
6. Ink up the the flower bouquet image in Evening Evergreen ink and stamp at an angle on the scalloped Basic White piece.
7. Cover the flowers with the punched out flowers by adhering with Stampin' Dimensionals. Do the same with the leaves (you can just use adhesive for the leaves like I did, or use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals).
8. Adhere the scalloped rectangle to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals.
9. Ink up a greeting and stamp on the Basic White piece before adhering it to the inside of the card.
