S tampin' Up! just added some great new items to the Sale-a-Bration catalog! My card this week is created with the Blossoming Basket Stamp set and the Basket Weave Textured Embossing Folder. This set is just in time for spring and is a pretty addition to everyone's stamps!!
Project Recipe
For this card you will need card stock cut to the following:
Bermuda Bay - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"
Pool Party - 4" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Light Wood Texture DSP - 1 1/2 x 4 1/4"
Run through the Bigshot with the Basket Weave texture embossing folder
Using a Slate Gray ink pad, stamp the flower basket centered and slightly towards the bottom of the Square Whisper White card stock. On an extra piece, stamp two more baskets.
Color in the basket with the light and dark combo Crumb Cake stampin blends. Now color the leaves with the Old Olive Combo. Then using the Pool Party & Bermuda Bay finish the flowers as shown. I did the center flower slightly darker than the two on the sides. Color the flowers only of the other two images that you stamped in the same way.
You can now fussy cut out all three of the flowers of one of the extra baskets, and then just the middle single flower on the last one.
Stamp a couple of the butterflies in Daffodil Delight and color them in with the same color Light Stampin' Blends pen. Next Fussy cut those out as well. Now take a small length of Pool Party bakers twine and tie a small bow.
Now take the Piece of Wood Texture DSP with the basket weave embossing, and double wrap a length of Pool Party Bakers Twine around the long dimension and tie a bow towards the top.
Now that all the parts are completed, the card can be assembled. Use snail tape and adhere the Bermuda Bay on the Pool Party card base. Then adhere the basket stamped Whisper White piece to the left side and the Wood DSP with the bakers twine on the right as shown. Use Dimentionals on the back of the flowers and line them up with the stamped image so the flowers look 3D. Now add the butterflies with dimentionals too. Last, attach the bow with a glue dot under the flowers. If you want a little sparkle use some Wink of Stella on the flowers.
Stamp the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink, and place it as shown to finish the card. This is a very versatile card, it could be used as a thank you, a birthday, or even a sympathy card. I hope you liked making it!
