hen I first saw the Thoughful Branches Bundle I was really excited. I love nature/leaves/floral projects so this set really appealed to me.
Ideas were coming thick and fast which is a great sign that I would get a lot of use from this Bundle. Of course a lot of use equates to great value!
I was thinking of Summer and Spring designs, Christmas Cards, Backgrounds, and gorgeous Feminine designs.
So many to do!
I hope you enjoy the projects I'll be sharing with you and that they inspire you to create with this great Bundle too.
I'm kicking it off with Merry.....a Christmas Card.
Project Recipe
To get your card base cut Crumb Cake Cardstock 10.5cm x 29.6cm.
Score at 14.8cm and fold on score line.
Stamp the "dots" stamp in Crumb Cake Ink around the front edge of your card base and set aside.
Cut 2 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock 9.5cm x 13.8cm.
Randomly stamp the following all over one of the bases.
"Dots" using Crumb Cake Ink.
"Small wide leaf" using Emerald Envy Ink.
"Small thin leaf" using Cherry Cobbler Ink.
Cut the Stamped leaf background on an angle.
Adhere the larger piece to the second white card piece taking care to line up the edges.
Using the co-ordinating Framelits cut out an Emerald Envy leaf and Cherry Cobbler leaf from the smaller piece you cut off.
Cut a piece of Vellum 10.5cm wide by the length needed to cover your angled background piece. (I used a pencil to make out where I would need to cut. This is then hidden by the ribbon.)
Staple this onto the top left hand corner to cover and soften the background.
Cut a 14cm piece of Emerald Envy Ruched Ribbon and place it around the card to cover the edge of vellum covered section. Hold down with Fast Fuse applied to the back of card. This will leave the front of the ribbon free to place your Emarald Envy leaf under the edge.
Cut another piece 5cm and tie in a soft knot. Trim and tidy the ends.
Adhere a little Fast Fuse to the back of the knot, place the small cherry cobbler leaf behind and adhere it to the lower left hand side of the ribbon band.
Place the Emerald Envy leaf under the ribbon band where the knot is adhered. Use a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere.
Cut the Merry sentiment using your Merry Thinlit through the Big Shot with a piece of Red Glimmer Paper approx 9cm x 3cm.
Punch a small heart from the leftover Red Glimmer paper using the Owl Builder Punch.
Adhere the merry sentiment to the vellum, sitting just above the ribbon band, using multipurpose adhesive.
Adhere the heart to the end of the sentiment using multipurpose adhesive.
Adhere the whisper white piece to the crumb cake card base using multipurpose adhesive, placing it at an angle.
