A beautiful fancy fold card which is simpler to make than it looks.
Project Recipe
Card base 51/4 x 10 3/4 (thick WW)
Score 5 1/4 and 5 1/2 to create a spine for the card to fold.
Also need 5" square of Cucumber crush and 4 3/4 square of Watermelon wonder.
Draw in from the edge 1" square and a 1 1/4" square. I used the scoring blade on my trimmer.
Cut diagonals going from outer square point to opposite point to create four triangles.
Fold the outer line back, and then in again on the inside score to create the recessed panel.
Stamp the Watermelon Wonder 4 3/4" square with the Hardwood stamp in Tip Top Taupe. Glue this to the Cucumber crush layer before cutting out the middle section 3/4" from the edge of the layers.
Use this middle section scrap to glue on the inside of the card to secure the recessed frame triangles. Add a square of Whisper White to the front recessed window (approximately 1 3/8" depending on how accurate your square is).
Decorate your recessed panel and the inside of card. I used the Flower Patch stamps and die to create the focal point. Along with the die cut butterfly and leaves from the Glimmer paper.
