P artial Circle Die Cut Technique. The card base is Whisper White and 5 1/2" x 8", scored at 4 1/4". Both the Highland Heather and Top Layer of Whisper White are cut at 4" x 5 1/4". The Highland Heather would not necessarily have to be cut at 5 1/4", however, I prefer to have both layers the same size to prevent "bumps and ridges" on the card front.
Project Recipe
Determine where you want your partial circle to be on the card front. Draw a line for placement purposes.
Once you have determined where you want the partial circle, apply non permanent tape to temporarily attach the die cut. When running through the die cut machine, only run the portion through that you want to die cut. It seems a bit awkward to assemble but the portion of the card that is not to be cut will be "hanging from the plates" and does not get run through the machine.
You will see in this picture that when run through the machine, it is not exactly even. Once you decide how you want the partial circle to look, use a ruler and draw a line to straighten out the edges.
Using good scissors, cut on the pencil lines to remove the excess and straighten the card stock edges.
Stamp your card front as desired and assemble, adding sentiments and/or embellishments.
