T his fun little card takes some time but is so worth it.
Project Recipe
Materials:
Card Base - 4 1/4" x 11" Soft Suede
- Scored at 5 1/2"
Card Front - 4" x 5 1/4" Early Espresso
3 3/4" x 5" Basic White (Use 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" Stitched With Whimsy Die to add detail)
Inside Card - Cut (2) 4" x 5 1/4" pieces of Basic White; 1 1 3/4"" x 11" Soft Suede; (4) pieces of Real Red 2 3/4" x 2 1/4" ; (2) pieces of DSP 2" x 2 1/2"; (2) pieces of Basic White 2" x 2 1/2"
You will need scraps of Real Red, Early Espresso and Basic White for your Lettering and Chocolates.
Card Front - Add some delicate detail by using the 4 1/4" x 4 1/2" (2nd largest) Die from the Stitched With Whimsy on the 5" x 3 3/4" piece of Basic White. If you want to "soften" the edges use a sponge or blending brush to lightly add a "chocolately" look of Early Espresso
Stamp your chocolates with Early Espresso and then color in with alcohol markers to your liking. (I used Light and Dark Soft Suede, Dark Crumb Cake and Ivory)
Card Inside
Prepare all your parts and pieces before you begin to attach anything!
I die cut Real Red card stock for the words "Love you more than" and Early Espresso for "Chocolate" from the Die Set Love You More. (you can apply adhesive sheet to the back of the card stock to make it easier to apply).
You can either stamp your chocolate pieces on the white square or add dimension by stamping on a scrap piece of white and die cutting - apply using dimensionals.
To "soften" the stark white card stock, I sponged around the edges with Early Espresso as I did on the card front.
To create the "W" score the 1 3/4" x 11" Soft Suede piece at 2 3/4", 5 1/2" and 8 1/4".
To Assemble:
Attach the Basic White 4" x 5 1/4" pieces to the card inside. To attach the Soft Suede "W" use Tear and Tape on the short ends and apply to each edge of the white you just applied.
Now you are ready to apply the small Real Red pieces in the order you wish. Using Tear N Tape apply only to the Soft Suede strip.
Your project is completed!
