S oft and pretty get well card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
Lightly spray the Petal Pink rectangle with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp Petal Pink rectangle into the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the lines of lace will run horizontally across the rectangle when it is horizontal. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Set the dry embossed cardstock aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: You can use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if you wish.
Mount the large lattice oval with flowers image from the Lovely Lattice Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the teapot framelit from the Tea Time Framelits. Place the stamped image on the Cutting Pad on the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the teapot framelit on top so the large flowers of the stamped image will mostly be on the bottom of the teapot. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
If desired, place the teapot cut out on some Grid Paper. Mount the small single flower and leaf image from the Lovely Lattice Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it on the teapot cut out anywhere you think it needs it. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Petal Pink Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub some of the ink off onto the Grid Paper. Then, lightly rub the inky dauber over the centers of the large flowers on the teapot cut out. Also use the inky dauber to add color to the edges of the teapot cut out. Get more ink on the dauber as needed. Keep adding ink until you get the look you want.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
If the dry embossed Petal Pink rectangle is dry, adhere it to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Adhere the colored teapot cut out to the front of the card on the right side so that the top of the teapot is about 1/2" from the top edge and the handle is about 1/2" from the right side.
As you are ready to stamp using the Lasting Lily Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount one of the single line sentiments from the Lasting Lily Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Blushing Bride Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small strip of white cardstock.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on the white strip on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is on the left side. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the card front so it overlaps the left side of the teapot and is about 1/2" in from the left side of the card and about 1-1/2" from the bottom edge of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a square rhinestone gem from a sheet of Petal Pink Rhinestone Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the right edge of the sentiment banner as a diamond shape.
Tie a bow in the Petal Pink/Whisper White 5/8" Variegated Ribbon while it is on the roll.
Cut the bow from the roll of ribbon. Trim the ends at angles.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the card front at a slight angle so it covers the bottom right side of the teapot cut out.
