L ife may not be the party we had wished for but while we are here we might as well dance...................
Project Recipe
For this project I cut one sheet of 81/2 x 11 piece of Soft Sky cardstock into 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 for the base
Next I cut the Basic Black Cardstock Mat to be 5 1/4x4.
The next mat is the Whisper White which is cut at 5 x 3 3/4. I used Whisper White for this project but when watercoloring the best paper to use would be our Water Color paper. Especially if you are using the Aqua Painters. This prevents your cardstock from tearing.
Next, I stamped the dancing girl in Staz On ink (in Black) onto the Whisper White cardstock and then stamped her again on a sticky note (this is called masking) and cut her out
I "masked" the dancing girl by putting the sticky note of her on top of the original image.
Then I took one of our amazing Water Color Pencils and scribbled in the background. Not too much!
Then I took the aqua painters and blended in to make the water colored backround. You can use our Blender Pens as well but for a large area I find that the Aqua Brushes take less time and give it more of a water color feel.
I continued to use our water color crayons to color in the girls dress and skin and used the Blender Pen to smooth out the color (super easy!)
I stamped the sentiment (one of my favorite sayings!) using our Basic Black ink pads in the upper right hand corner
And glitter. You know I love glitter! And for those of you who just hate the mess... well... we have a Wink of Stella!! And that's what I used on her dress to give it a little pizzaz! It''s a glitter pen! So no mess and a lot of shine!
What a quick and fun card to put together!
