S imple thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square of medium darkness wood grain design from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
- 1-3/4" square from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
Mount the star image from the Wood Words Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad and stamp it randomly all over the Crumb Cake rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the stars go off the edges of the cardstock. Rotate the star every so often.
Place the stamped Crumb Cake rectangle inside the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder upside down (so the stars are facing the back flap which does NOT have the logos printed on it). Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed, stamped Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-3/8" circle. Place the Wood Textures Designer Paper square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the designer paper circle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and about 3/4" from the top of the dry embossed layer.
Cut a 4-1/4" piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half horizontally so the fold is at the bottom. Use Paper Snips to cut at a sharp downward angle towards the fold on one end. Unfold the ribbon. You should have a notch in the end of the ribbon. Repeat with the other end. You should have a piece of ribbon about 3-1/4" long with notches in either end.
Place a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the center of the designer paper circle. Peel off the protective backing and adhere the Burlap Ribbon to the adhesive horizontally so the notched ends stick off the sides of the designer paper circle a bit.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 1-1/2" scalloped circle. Place the Cherry Cobbler square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the "thank you" sentiment from the Wood Words Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake square.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 1-1/8" circle. Place the sentiment square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the scalloped Cherry Cobbler circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the matted sentiment circles to the front of the card so they are centered in the designer paper circle.
Punch out the small star outline and interior tiny star from a sheet of Hearts & Stars Elements.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the stars to the bottom right of the matted sentiment circle.
