Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Starry Sky Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of rows of tiny flowers in different colors on white background design from Wonderful World 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Starry Sky Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of different purple and white flowers on light purple background design from Wonderful World 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 7/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 3/4" x 1" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 3/4" x 1" from Starry Sky Cardstock
- 5/8" x 7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the 2" x 4" piece of purple and white flowers Wonderful World Designer Paper to the center of the 2-1/4" x 4" Starry Sky rectangle. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the matted designer paper strip to the bottom of the 4" x 5-1/4" piece of Wonderful World Designer Paper so it is about 1/4" from the bottom. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the designer paper layer to the front of the Starry Sky card.
Mount the French iris image from the Wonderful World Set on Block D. Ink up the leaves and stems with the side of the brush tip of the Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker. Ink up the iris with the side of the brush tip of the Orchid Oasis Stampin' Write Marker. Use the brush tip of the Starry Sky Stampin' Write Marker to add some darker purple in the center of the iris, down the centers of the petals, and around the edges of the petals. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp on the vertical white rectangle about 3/4" from the bottom and centered side to side.
Pick out the bumpy-topped tag die that cuts out a 3-3/8" long tag from the Tailor Made Tags Dies. Put it on top of the iris stamped white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the top of the tag is about 5/8" from the top of the iris and the iris is centered in the tag side to side. Run through the machine.
Pick out the line of little circles die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the iris tag cut out on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it runs horizontally across the bottom of the tag about half way between the bottom of the tag and the bottom of the stamped iris. Run through the machine.
Cut a 4" piece of the Old Olive ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack.
Cut a 10" piece of the Linen Thread.
Feed one end of the ribbon through the hole in the top of the tag. Pull the ribbon through so it is even. Tie the piece of thread around the ribbon just above the top of the tag using a small bow to hold the ribbon in place. Trim the ends of the ribbon and thread.
Adhere the iris tag cut out with ribbon attached to the front of the card on the left side so it is about 3/8" from the left edge and about 7/8" from the bottom edge.
Peel the protective backing off of the larger Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Old Olive rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the grass/stems die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of one side of the Old Olive rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Old Olive (green) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat on the other side of the Old Olive rectangle so you have 2 sets of grass/stems cut outs.
One at a time, Carefully remove the protective backing from the grass stem cut outs. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown beside the stems/leaves of the stamped iris so they hang over the edges of the tag.
As you are ready to stamp using the Charming Sentiments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Charming Sentiments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Starry Sky Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the larger Orchid Oasis rectangle.
Pick out the matching die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right side of the iris tag cut out as shown just above the line of dots cut into the bottom of the tag.
Pick out the small, open flower/bow die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the small Orchid Oasis rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the small Starry Sky rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the small, detailed flower/bow die from the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. Put it on top of the small Starry Sky rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Starry Sky (purple) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the small, Starry Sky detailed flower/bow cut out. Adhere it to the top of the solid Orchid Oasis flower/bow cut out.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered small flower/bow cut out to the card front so it is centered over the end of one of the stems on the right side of the tag just above the sentiment cut out.
