S weet Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glow-in-the-dark specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of pink, red, and white stripes design from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical strip
- 1" x 5-1/4" from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-1/2 x 2" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 2 pieces each 1" x 1-1/2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1" square from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Tricks & Treats Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the vertical, large Petal Pink rectangle.
Pick out the long zigzag die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the thin Sweet Sorbet strip in the center on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll cut along one long edge. Run through the machine. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut it free from the rest of the strip.
Adhere the zigzag Sweet Sorbet strip cut out to the back of one long edge of the striped Bee Mine Designer Paper strip so the points just stick out along the right edge and the strip is centered.
Adhere the matted designer paper strip to the left side of the stamped Petal Pink rectangle.
Adhere the stamped Petal Pink rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
Pick out the open triangular candy corn die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of one of the glow-in-the-dark rectangles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other glow-in-the-dark rectangle.
Pick out the solid bottom stripe candy corn die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of one of the small Petal Pink rectangles on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other small Petal Pink rectangle.
Pick out the solid triangular top candy corn die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of one of the small Sweet Sorbet squares on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the other small Sweet Sorbet square.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Petal Pink bottom stripe cut outs and Sweet Sorbet top cut outs to the glow-in-the-dark candy corn cut outs.
Adhere the layered candy corn cut outs to the front of the card as shown so they overlap each other a bit. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the top candy corn cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a glow-in-the-dark bat from the sheet of Glow-In-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the upper right corner as shown.
