S pooky Halloween card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
As you are ready to stamp using the Tricks & Treats Set, place the specialty paper or cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Cut cardstock, glow-in-the-dark specialty paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Orchid Oasis Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2- 3/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 1" x 1-3/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 7/8" x 1-5/8" from Adhesive Sheets
Mount the haunted house image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento or StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" glow-in-the-dark rectangle. Set aside to allow to dry.
Mount the set of 3 bats image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly down the left side of the horizontal 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" Orchid Oasis rectangle at an angle as shown. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a bit each time, but make sure the bats are mostly upright. Let some of the images go off the top, left, and bottom edges of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped Orchid Oasis rectangle to the center of the Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Orchid Oasis card.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the smooth side of the 1" x 1-3/4" Glow-In-The-Dark rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the word "boo" die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the Glow-In-The-Dark rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Glow-In-The-Dark side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the word "boo" cut out. Adhere it to the top right corner of the card front at a slight angle as shown.
Pick out the open haunted house die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the stamped haunted house image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Tip: You might want to wipe off the cutting plate you had on the top of the sandwich to remove any ink that may have transferred during the cutting process.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the haunted house cut out to the bottom left corner of the card front as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 glow-in-the-dark bats from the sheet of Glow-In-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card around the word "boo" cut out as shown.
