Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and specialty paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Orchid Oasis Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/8" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 3" from Orchid Oasis Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
- 1" x 3-3/4" from Glow-In-The-Dark 6" x 6" Specialty Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Tricks & Treats Set, place the specialty paper or cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Pick out the open dracula head die from the Tricks & Treats Dies. Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 2-1/4" glow-in-the-dark rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the dracula hair image and dracula face image from the Tricks & Treats Set together on Block C so the hair and face are centered. Ink them up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it on the dracula face cut out so the hair is as close as possible to the top edge. Set aside to allow to dry.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Glow-In-The-Dark paper strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other end.
Mount the "EEK!" sentiment from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Glow-In-The-Dark strip so it is close to the left edge at a slight angle. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it in the center of the Glow-In-The-Dark strip so it is close to the right edge at a slight opposite angle. Set aside to allow to dry.
Fold the 2-3/4" score line of the Orchid Oasis card so it is a mountain fold. Fold the 5-1/2" score line so it is a valley fold. This should give you a card with a short flap on the top left and a large base at the back.
Mount the set of 3 stars image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly down the right edge of the horizontal Basic White rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a bit each time. Let some of the images go off the top, right, and bottom edges of the rectangle.
Mount the "trick or treat" sentiment from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" Basic Black rectangle and then to the top of the base back of the Orchid Oasis card.
Insert the 2-1/2" x 4" Basic Black rectangle into the crosshatched folder included with the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Cut two pieces of the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon each 4-3/4" long.
Lay the ribbon across the left long edge of the dry embossed Basic Black rectangle so they criss cross near the top edge. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the black rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the short flap on the top left side of the Orchid Oasis card.
Mount the set of 3 bats image from the Tricks & Treats Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Orchid Oasis Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly all over the Orchid Oasis rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a bit each time, but make sure the bats stay mostly upright. Let some of the images go off the edges of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped Orchid Oasis rectangle to the center of the remaining Basic Black rectangle.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the horizontal matted Orchid Oasis rectangle on the left side ONLY (up to about the 1-1/2" mark from the left side).
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and adhere the matted rectangles to the left front flap of the card ONLY so the top of the rectangles is about 3/4" from the top of the card.
Adhere the punched and stamped sentiment strip across the center of the matted rectangles in the center of the card front. Make sure no adhesive goes over the right edge of the rectangles or your card will be stuck shut.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the dracula face cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the sentiment strip at a slight angle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 glow-in-the-dark bats from the sheet of Glow-In-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the dry embossed black short flap on the top left side of the card as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the Orchid Oasis 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbons already on the card front where they criss cross. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends. Fray the ends.
