F un Easter card using retiring products from Stampin' Up!
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Cut 7 pieces of various colors of the 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon each 3-1/4" long.
Place a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the vertical, large vanilla rectangle about 3/4" from the top edge. Adhere one of the pieces of ribbon to the Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Add another strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive right under the first piece of ribbon. Adhere the next color of ribbon to it. Continue until you have adhered all 7 pieces of ribbon horizontally across the vertical, large vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the smooth oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a smooth oval that is 2-1/8" x 3-1/8". Put it on top of the vertical Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the oval is vertical and the top edge is about 3/4" from the top of the cardstock and it is centered side to side. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the Crumb Cake rectangle with an oval cut out of the center for this project. Keep the cut out oval for use on another project or recycle it.
Insert the Crumb Cake rectangle with the oval cut out of the center into the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder so the lines of the folder are running horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to help line things up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back side of the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle with the oval cut out of the center. Put the Tear & Tape along the outer edges and close to the edges of the cut out oval.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake cardstock to the vanilla rectangle so it is centered and the ribbon strips show through the oval cut in the center.
Adhere the vanilla rectangle to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Happy Easter, Happy Spring happy, happy everything" sentiment from the Timeless Tulips Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, small vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the detailed, ornate edge rectangle die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the vanilla rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and overlaps the bottom of the ribbon egg just a bit.
