P retty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pale Papaya Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of rows of tiny peaches on white background design from You're A Peach 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the rows are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
-3-1/4" x 4-1/2" from Pale Papaya Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock OR peach with leaves and flower cut by hand from You're A Peach 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips Scissors
Adhere the rows of tiny peaches on white background rectangle of You're A Peach Designer Series Paper to the front of the Pale Papaya card.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 3" x 4-3/8" and the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 1-13/16" x 3-1/8". Put them on top of the Pale Papaya rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the smaller die is centered in the larger die. Run through the machine.
Tip: You may need to press fairly hard along the edges of the die to pop the cut outs free.
Note: You are using the large Pale Papaya frame you just cut out for this project. Keep the small Pale Papaya rectangle cut from the center to use on another project.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Pear Pizzazz strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other short edge.
Slide the punched Pear Pizzazz strip into the Pale Papaya frame so the bottom of the punched strip is about 3/8" from the inside bottom edge of the frame and the left side of the strip tucks under the frame on the left side and the right side of the strip overlaps the right side of the frame. Adhere the strip in place using a small bit of Stampin' Seal under the strip where it overlaps the right side of the frame.
Adhere the Pale Papaya frame/Pear Pizzazz strip to the front of the card so it is centered.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 1-7/16" x 2-3/4". Put it on top of the 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" Basic White rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly around the edges to pop the rectangle cut out free.
As you are ready to stamp using the Sweet As A Peach Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "have a Peachy day" or "sweet as a peach" sentiment from the Sweet As A Peach Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bottom of the white stitched rectangle cut out.
Adhere the stamped, stitched white rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered in the Pale Papaya frame and overlaps the Pear Pizzazz strip.
Mount the single, large, peach image from the Sweet As A Peach Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, rub a Blending Brush across the open Mango Melody Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly tap/rub the inky Blending Brush on the right side of the inked up peach image. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the peach image on the bottom of the remaining vertical white cardstock.
Note: If you are doing the less stamping version of this card, skip this step.
Mount the set of two leaves and stem image from the Sweet As A Peach Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Early Espresso Marker to color directly onto the stem part of the stamp. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp on the top of the stamped white cardstock leaving room between the images to cut them out with the dies in a later step and leaving room to stamp a flower image as well.
Note: If you are doing the less stamping version of this card, skip this step.
Mount the set of flowers image from the Sweet As A Peach Set on Block C. Ink up the larger flower image with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Don't worry if you get some ink on the other two flowers. BEFORE stamping, rub the Blending Brush across the open Mango Melody Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub/tap the inky Blending Brush around the edges of the large flower image. Don't worry if you get some ink on the other two flowers. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp on the top of the stamped white cardstock so you get the large flower image leaving room between the images to cut them out with the dies in a later step. Don't worry if you get some of the other flower images as long as they don't overlap the previously stamped peach and leaves with stem images.
Note: If you are doing the less stamping version of this card, skip this step.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Pick out the matching peach, two leaves with stem, and set of three flowers dies from the Peach Dies. Put them on top of the stamped images on the white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the images are centered in the dies. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Note: If you are doing the less stamping version of this card, skip this step.
If you are NOT stamping the peach, leaves with stem, and flowers, then use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out by hand a peach with leaves and a flower from patterns of the You're A Peach Designer Series Paper instead.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and/or Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the peach die cut out or the peach with leaves hand cut out to the top of the sentiment rectangle on the front of the card.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the leaves with stem cut out to the top of the sentiment rectangle on the front of the card so the stem is tucked under the top of the peach and the leaves stick off to the left side and overlap the upper left side of the peach cut out and the left side of the Pale Papaya frame a bit.
Note: If you are doing the less stamping version of this card, skip this step..
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flower cut out to the bottom left corner of the Pale Papaya frame.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three large Pear Basic Jewels from the sheet of pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere one to the center of the flower cut out and the other three in a line across the center of the Pear Pizzazz banner strip between the right side of the sentiment rectangle and the notch.
