Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 5-1/2" square from Basic Gray or Basic Black Cardstock
- 5-1/2" square from spiderweb, black filigree on white, or floor plan design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" square from Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, or Crushed Curry Cardstock
Use SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the square of Monster Bash Designer Series Paper to a square of cardstock. Make sure you put adhesive all over the back of the designer paper. Adhere the black filigree on white design of paper to a Basic Black square. Adhere the other patterns to a Basic Gray square.
Pick out the four-pointed box die from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Box Dies. Put it on top of the square of designer paper/cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Fold on all score lines using the Bone Folder to help you get sharp, crisp folds.
Curl the four points a bit by running them over the edge of the Bone Folder.
Fold the two points with the handle on top in to the middle so the handles meet and stick up. Fold one of the points with a slit in it up and over the top of the handles and slide the handles through the slit. Fill the box with candy or treats. Fold the other point with a slit in it up and over the top of the handles and slide the handles through the slit.
For the black filigree on white and floor plan boxes, mount the "Open if you dare" framed sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pumpkin Pie (for black filigree on white box) or Crushed Curry (for floor plan box) rectangle.
Pick out the matching small square die with pointy corners from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment label image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
For the spiderweb box, mount the set of 3 filled jars image from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block C. Ink up ONLY the center jar with the spider in it image using the brush tip of the Basic Black Marker. Stamp it in the center of the gray rectangle.
Pick out the small square die with pointy corners from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped jar with spider image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool.
Use a small hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the tag.
Cut a 3" piece of Whisper White Solid Baker's Twine.
Thread the tag onto the twine.
Tie the tag to the handles of the box on one side using a knot. Trim the ends of the twine.
Cut a 4" piece of ribbon and tie to the top of the handles of the box using a half knot. Trim the ends. For the spider web boxes, use Basic Black 3/8" Scalloped Edge Ribbon. For the floor plan box, use Crushed Curry 3/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. For the black filigree on white box, use Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
