P unny Halloween treat box using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" of orange and white bats with black script on gray background design from Monster Bash Designer Series Paper, cut so the script is horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- framed portrait of two monsters together cut from piece of Monster Bash Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Fold a Coffin Treat Box base and lid along all score lines using the Bone Folder.
Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the box together. Set aside.
Use pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive to hold the lid together.
Place the piece of Monster Bash Designer Paper upside down on your work surface (in this case, the bats and script design face down).
Place the lid upside down in the middle of the piece of designer paper. Trace around the outside edges using a pencil.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the traced area just inside the pencil lines.
Use SNAIL Adhesive to adhere the cut out paper right side up (in this case, the bats and script design face up) to the top of the lid. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess designer paper along the edges.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut a framed portrait of two monsters together from a piece of Monster Bash Designer Series Paper.
Use SNAIL to adhere the cut out framed portrait of the two monsters together to the top of the coffin lid. Make sure that the script and the portrait are all right side up.
Mount the "so glad we're such ghoul friends" sentiment from the Spooktacular Bash Set on Block H. Ink it up with the StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pumpkin Pie strip.
Pick out the long, skinny die with decorative ends from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment to the front of the coffin lid using Black Stampin' Dimensionals so it overlaps the edge of the framed monsters portrait a bit and almost touches the bottom edge of the coffin lid. Make sure everything is right side up.
Cut a 3" piece of Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the lid in the lower angle where the sentiment label cut out and the framed monster portrait meet.
