Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 3" x 5-1/8" of interlocking, multi-colored, tiny postage stamps on white background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 5-1/8" of lines of tiny pink hearts on red background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines of hearts are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3/4" x 4-5/8" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" square of curving, dotted, white lines on blue background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper
- 1" square from Real Red Cardstock
- small package or envelope image cut from a scrap of lines of packages, letters, paper airplanes, and postage stamps on yellow background design from Snail Mail Designer Series Paper, cut out using Paper Snips
Adhere the multicolored postage stamps on white Snail Mail Designer Paper rectangle to the large Bermuda Bay rectangle so there is about 1/16" inch of blue showing on the top, right, and bottom edges.
Adhere the tiny hearts on red Snail Mail Designer Paper rectangle to the large Bermuda Bay rectangle so there is about 1/16" inch of blue showing on the top, left, and bottom edges. It will overlap the left edge of the postage stamps designer paper a bit. Make sure the hearts are right side up!
Adhere the designer paper/Bermuda Bay cardstock layer to the front of the Real Red card.
Insert the Blushing Bride Cardstock strip into the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder so one of the vertical lines in the embossing folder will run vertically down the center of the vertical strip. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed strip of Blushing Bride Cardstock to the front of the card so it is centered over the line between the two different pieces of designer paper.
Pick out the large solid die from the Snail Dies that will cut and score an envelope pattern. Put it on top of the curving white lines on blue background square of designer paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Fold in the two short flaps on the score lines on the envelope cut out. Use a Mini Glue Dot on the top of the point near the center of the envelope on one of the flaps to adhere the two flaps together.
Fold the bottom flap on the score line on the envelope cut out. Use a Mini Glue Dot on the top of the points in the center of the envelope to hold the bottom flap in place.
Adhere the folded up, blue envelope with the top flap unfolded to the front of the card at an angle as shown so the bottom left corner of the envelope touches the seam between the Blushing Bride strip and hearts designer paper strip about 1-3/4" from the bottom of the card. The bottom right corner of the envelope should be about 1" from the bottom of the card.
Mount the "Happy Mail enclosed" postage stamp image from the Snailed It Set on Block C. Use the side of the brush tip of the Real Red Marker to ink up the words "Happy Mail." Use the side of the brush tip of the Bermuda Bay Marker to ink up the word "enclosed" and the dots around the edge of the image. Don't worry about inking up the envelope image. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the image on the bottom of the vertical white strip.
Unlock the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped postage stamp image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the "happy mail" stamp punch out to the front of the card so it is tucked into the top of the blue envelope as shown. Leave room at the bottom to adhere the cut out package or envelope image.
If you haven;'t already done so, cut out a package or envelope image from the scrap of designer paper using Paper Snips.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the cut out package or envelope image to the bottom of the "happy mail" stamp punch out just above the opening in the top of the blue envelope.
If you used the package image as the cut out and want to, use the fine tip of the Real Red Marker to hand draw a bow at the top of the package.
Pick out one of the little heart dies from the Snail Dies. Put it on top of the small Real Red square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the small heart cut out to the front of the blue envelope over the area where the points meet in the center.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a red heart from a sheet of Resin Hearts making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper right corner of the card front so it is centered inside one of the small postage stamp images printed on the designer paper.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a white heart from a sheet of Resin Hearts making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the small red heart cut out on the blue envelope.
Cut a 16" piece of the Whisper White Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow at a slight angle to the bottom left corner of the blue envelope.
