P retty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Island Indigo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Tranquil Tide Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Island Indigo Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" of light dots on watercolor wash Island Indigo background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper
- scrap of diagonal stripes on Old Olive background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper at least 1-1/4" long
- scrap of Daffodil Delight Cardstock at least 1" square
Place the Tranquil Tide rectangle into the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide the big strip of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Cut a 2-1/4" piece of Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the top of the punched designer paper banner about 1/4" from the top. Flip the banner over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere it in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add SNAIL to adhere the designer paper banner with the ribbon attached to the left side of the dry embossed Tranquil Tide rectangle about 1/2" in from the left side and about 3/8" from the bottom edge. Trim off excess paper at the top with Paper Snips if needed.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint some sparkle onto three of the dry embossed star burst images where it will be seen after the ovals are adhered to the card front.
Adhere the Tranquil Tide rectangle to the front of the Island Indigo card.
Mount the porch swing image from the Sitting Here Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Whisper White rectangle. Don't worry about getting all of the ropes, you mainly just want the bench itself.
Mount one of the long, skinny sentiments from the Sitting Here Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Tranquil Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it just under the bottom of the swing as close as you can get.
Pick out the smooth sided oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 2-3/8" wide. Place the stamped swing image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth oval framelit on top so it is centered over the swing image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the scalloped edge oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 2-1/2" wide. Place the Island Indigo rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the Markers to color in the swing image - Crumb Cake for the bench, Island Indigo for the cushion on the bench, and Sahara Sand for the ropes.
Adhere the colored swing oval to the center of the scalloped Island Indigo oval. Then, adhere them to the card front so they overlap the designer paper banner about half way on the right side.
Mount the long, skinny pillow image from the Sitting Here Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tranquil Tide Ink Pad and stamp it on the scrap of diagonal striped Old Olive pattern from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.
Mount the circle pillow image from the Sitting Here Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tranquil Tide Ink Pad and stamp it in the center of the scrap of Daffodil Delight Cardstock.
Cut out the pillows by hand using Paper Snips.
Adhere the Old Olive long, skinny pillow flat to the right side of the swing bench.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the circle pillow to the swing bench so it overlaps the long, skinny pillow just a bit on the left side.
Cut a 4" piece of Tranquil Tide 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Adhere the ribbon knot to the left side of the ribbon on the top of the designer paper banner using a Mini Glue Dot.
