O ld fashioned Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of thin green and thick red stripes on vanilla background design of A Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 4-1/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
- 1-1/4" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" square from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock
Insert the Garden Green rectangle into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper to the left side of the horizontal, dry embossed green rectangle so about 1/4" of green shows along the left edge.
Adhere the dry embossed green rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Rocking Horse Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "wishing you an old-fashioned christmas" sentiment from the Rocking Horse Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal, large Cherry Cobbler strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Modern Oval Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is about 3/8" from the top and 7/8" from the left edge.
Mount the rocking horse image from the Rocking Horse Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pecan Pie rectangle.
Pick out the matching rocking horse die from the Rocking Horse Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the rocking horse cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom right side of the sentiment punch out and is about 1/2" from the bottom and about 3/4" from the right edge.
Pick out the solid teddy bear die from the Rocking Horse Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the teddy bear cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the right edge of the rocking horse rocker and is about 1/4" from the right edge and 3/4" from the bottom.
Mount the drum image from the Rocking Horse Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Cherry Cobbler rectangle.
Pick out the matching drum die from the Rocking Horse Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the drum cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom of the rocking horse rocker and the lower left side of the teddy bear a bit.
Cut a 4" piece of the Pecan Pie 1/2" Bordered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle along the upper left side of the sentiment punch out.
