Project Recipe
Measurements:
Pretty Peacock Card Base:
- 4 1/4” x 11” score @ 5 1/2”
Calypso Coral:
- 4” x 5 1/4”
Basic White:
- 3 3/4” x 5” for card front
- 4” x 5 ¼” for inside
Crumb Cake:
- ¾” x 2 ½”
Instructions:
Fold the card base on the score line and burnish with a bone folder.
Take the Crumb Cake strip and punch one end using the Banners Pick A Punch. Stamp the sentiment using Pretty Peacock ink.
Take the piece of Basic White card stock and stamp the largest pumpkin about ¼” from the center bottom of the panel using Pretty Peacock ink. Stamp the same image on a small Post-It note and cut the pumpkin out, cutting right to the edge of the image (don’t leave any margin). Place the Post-It note pumpkin over the image you just stamped. Take the next sized pumpkin and stamp it over the top of the masked Post-It note using Lost Lagoon ink. Then remove the mask from the large pumpkin. Your Lost Lagoon pumpkin should look like it’s sitting right on top of the Pretty Peacock pumpkin. This is called masking.
Stamp the Lost Lagoon pumpkin image again on a small Post-It note and cut it out, right on the edge of the image. Place that Post-It note over the stamped image on the Basic White layer. Take the next smallest pumpkin, ink it in Calypso Coral ink and stamp it over the top of the Lost Lagoon pumpkin. Remove the Post-It note mask. Proceed with this technique one more time, using the smallest pumpkin and Crumb Cake ink. You can line the pumpkins up so that they are stacked straight, or turn each one a tiny bit in opposite directions, which is what was done on the sample card. TIP – save these masks in your stamp set so that you can use them again!
Stamp the pumpkin stem using Pretty Peacock ink and stamp the leaves using Crumb Cake ink.
Tie a small bow using the Linen Thread. Attach to the top of the small pumpkin using a glue dot.
Attach the Crumb Cake banner using dimensionals
Add the sequins.
• Stamp a large pumpkin on the Basic White 4” x 5 ¼” using your ink choice. Attach the layer to the inside of the card.
