Project Recipe
CARDSTOCK PREP AND STAMPING
/ Cardstock Color #1 (Bermuda Bay)
# Cut (1) piece at 4 1/4"w x 11"h. Score at 5 1/2" down long side and fold in half to get a "tent" card base.
## Cut (1) piece 2 1/2"w x 10 1/4"h. Score down long side at 3 1/4", 3 3/4", 4 1/4", and 4 3/4". Use bone folder to sharpen folds (all in same direction). This will be the waterfall mechanism.
### Cut (1) piece 4"w x 1 1/2"h. For anchoring waterfall mechanism to card base.
#### Cut (1) 2 1/2"w x 3 1/4"h. Set aside; use to back panel 3 for waterfall after it is cut.
// Cardstock Color #2 (Basic White)
# Cut (1) piece 3 1/2"w x 4 3/4"h. This will be for your message inside the card. Stamp and decorate as desired.
## Cut (1) 2"w x 5 1/4"h for insert on waterfall. If desired, stamp arrows facing down to indicate "pull" in bottom 5/8" of piece across 2" width.
Center any additional stamping on this piece in approximately the next 3" above this.
/// Card base from Paper Pumpkin kit - black background with flowers.
*You need (4) panels from this piece, each cut to 2 1/2"w X 3 1/4"h. The panels will show the progression of the flower's growth.
# Fully open the card base and cut 1" off the long side of the card that shows mostly black/dots/sky. This will give your panels a height of 3 1/4".
## Cut a 4" long piece from the remaining 1" strip and glue to your 1 1/2" x 4" anchor piece, centering down middle. Set aside.
## Cut exactly along the 2 folds on the card base. This will give you your first 2 panels.
### Cut 2 1/2" in from the far end of remaining piece for another panel (the part with only leaves). This will be panel 4 and will leave you with a 3" piece that shows the flower.
####Trim 1/4" from each long side of this last piece to give you your 2 1/2" panel. This is panel 3. Glue the 2 1/2" x3 1/4" of color cs (DSP) to back of panel 3 to cover.
##### Trim up your 4 panels slightly if needed to make them as even as possible for the best "waterfall" look.
WATERFALL
# From the supplied cut out sheets, decorate panel 4 (the one with just leaves) with the large pink flower and the yellow flowers. Note: the large pink flower is slightly larger than the width of the panel. To make it fit, carefully cut the middle leaf close to the flower and reattach slightly behind the flower as you put it on the panel.
## Glue this panel (4) to entire shorter portion of waterfall mechanism. Add panels 3, 2, and then 1, gluing each only along top to the next fold area in turn.
## Fold remaining portion of mechanism to back. Center & attach stamped white cs 2" x 5 1/4" piece to inside.
###Flip waterfall to back of panels. Attach your 1 1/2" x 4" anchor piece across waterfall behind panel 4.
####Attach waterfall to your card front by gluing ONLY the side "flaps" on the anchor piece.
