Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mango Melody Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-3/4" squares of rows of light arrow points on light orange background design from Enjoy The Journey 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
-2-7/8" x 4-1/8" from Mango Melody Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the large Real Red rectangle into the crosshatched embossing folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders set. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Real Red rectangle to the front of the Mango Melody card.
Adhere the square of Enjoy The Journey Designer Paper to the front of the card on the left side so there is about 1/8" of red showing on the top, left, and bottom edges and the arrows are pointing up and down.
Place the 2-3/4" x 4" white rectangle horizontally on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Mount the large poppy flower, bud, leaf, and stems image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the horizontal white rectangle so the bottoms of the stems go off the bottom edge and the leaf almost touches the left edge and the top of the flower is about 1/4" from the top edge.
Mount the grouping of small poppy flowers on stems image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal white rectangle several times so the bottoms of the stems go off the bottom edge a bit and the small flowers surround the large flower stems. The images should also go off the right and left edges. Re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the large splatter image from the Painted Poppies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it over the tops of the small stamped flowers. Repeat multiple times, remembering to re-ink each time. Let the images overlap and let some of them go off the bottom, left, and right edges.
Use the Real Red and Garden Green Stampin' Write Markers to color in the large flower, bud, leaf, and stems.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle to the center of the Mango Melody rectangle and then to the front of the card so it is centered top to bottom and about 5/8" from the left side.
Mount the "these are the moments we'll look back on with joy" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, horizontal white rectangle near one edge, but leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Label Me Lovely Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Mango Melody Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment punch out.
Cut a 7" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.
Fold the ribbon in half and adhere it to the back of the sentiment punch out using Tear & Tape Adhesive so the looped end of the ribbon will stick out to the left side of the sentiment punch out. Trim the loose ends into angles.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the sentiment punch out. Adhere the sentiment punch out to the card front so it is centered over the right side of the designer paper about 3/8" from the top of the card.
Pick out a trinket from the Dragonfly Trinkets. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere it to the card front at a slight angle as shown so it is centered over the stem for the bud just before it bends over.
