Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1" x 4-5/8" of gold outlined pumpkins and gourds on dark orange background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-3/8" of gold and copper outlined leaves on white background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 4-1/8" of copper outlined leaves on light green background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
Insert the large Cajun Craze rectangle into the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front of the embossing folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine platform and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Cajun Craze rectangle to the front of the Mint Macaron card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. One at a time, slide one short edge of the designer paper strips into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go. Punch. Repeat until you've punched all three strips of designer paper.
Tip: If the design on the paper has a definite right side up, make sure you are punching the bottom of the strip.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the punched paper strips on the front of the card so the tops are even and the strips are centered. When happy with the layout, adhere the strips in place one at a time.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ornate Thanks Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount one of the small, script sentiments that is less than 2" long from the Ornate Thanks Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it near the bottom of the Mint Macaron square so it is centered side to side. Leave room to cut it out.
Pick out the smooth circle die that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-1/8" diameter from the Layering Circles Dies. Put it on top of the Mint Macaron square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is near the bottom. Run through the machine.
Adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the designer paper strips about 1/2" from the top of the strips.
Pick out the stitched,straight-edged rectangle die from the Ornate Layers Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 1" x 4". Put it on top of the small Cajun Craze rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the die is as close as possible to one short side. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Put the stitched,straight-edged rectangle die back on top of the small Cajun Craze rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the die lines up with the previous cuts and will cut off about 1/2" from the other short edge . Run through the machine. You should now have a stitched, rectangle cut out about 3" long.
Mount the "Thanks" sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Set on Block G. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Cajun Craze stitched, rectangle cut out.
Lay the stamped sentiment rectangle cut out on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the stamped image. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use a clothespin to hold the cardstock while using the Heat Tool to avoid burning your fingers.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the heat embossed, stitched, rectangle sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side over the sentiment circle and is just above the sentiment on the circle.
Cut a 4" piece of the Copper 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Pick out one acorn from the Acorn Trinkets.
Slide the Acorn Trinket onto the ribbon. Tie the trinket in the center of the ribbon using a knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the knot/trinket to the card front on the lower right side of the stitched sentiment rectangle cut out.
