Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Pecan Pie Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 9-1/2" and scored at 1-1/2" x 4"
- 3-1/4" x 3-3/4" of gold splattered book page design from Nature's Sweetness 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the words are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1-1/4" x 3-3/4" of tiny gold flowers on stems on white background design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-3/4" of tiny gold flowers on stems on white background design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" x 4-5/8" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" square from Old Olive Cardstock
Fold the Pecan Pie card in half at the 4" score line. Then, fold at the 1-1/2" score line to make a front flap for the pocket.
Slide the upper right corner of the top of the pocket card into the angle of the Very Best Trio Punch that punches a decorative corner. Make sure the edges of the cardstock butt up against the guides on either side of the punching area. Punch. Flip the card over and slide what is now the upper right corner into the punch in the same way and punch again.
Flip the card back over so the pocket flaps are on top. Unfold the pocket flaps. Slide the lower left corner at the bottom of the card into the angle of the Very Best Trio Punch that punches a decorative corner. Make sure the edges of the cardstock butt up against the guides on either side of the punching area. Punch. Flip the card over and slide what is now the lower left corner into the punch in the same way and punch again.
Making sure that the words are properly oriented, slide the upper right corner of the book page Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper rectangle into the angle of the Very Best Trio Punch that punches a decorative corner. Make sure the edges of the designer paper butt up against the guides on either side of the punching area. Punch. Flip the designer paper over and slide what is now the upper right corner into the punch in the same way and punch again.
Slide a lower left corner of the 1" x 3-3/4" floral Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper into the angle of the Very Best Trio Punch that punches a decorative corner. Make sure the edges of the designer paper butt up against the guides on either side of the punching area. Punch. Flip the designer paper over and slide what is now the lower left corner into the punch in the same way and punch again.
Adhere the punched piece of book page Nature's Sweetness Specialty Designer Paper to the top of the back of the pocket card.
Adhere the punched piece of Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper to the punched front flap of the pocket.
Adhere the remaining, unpunched strip of Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper to the bottom of the pocket under the flap.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the outer edges of the bottom pocket flap on the inside. Remove the protective backings and adhere the pocket to the back of the card.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Gold 1/8" Faux Leather Trim.
Lay the trim across the top of the front pocket flap so it covers the top seam between the designer paper and cardstock. Fold the ends of the trim over and secure the trim in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Leave the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces in place. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the front pocket flap. Adhere to the top of the pocket on the card.
Pick out the long, skinny die with three sets of three holes from the Notes Of Nature Dies. Put it on top of the left edge of the vertical Pecan Pie rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is about 1/4" from the left edge and it will cut two holes out of the top, three holes out of the middle, and two holes out of the bottom. Run through the machine.
Mount the "field notes" image from the Notes Of Nature Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp once on Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it in the upper left corner of the vertical 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" white rectangle.
Mount the splatters image from the Notes Of Nature Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp once on Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it randomly onto the top half of the stamped, vertical white rectangle. Stamp randomly all over the top half of the rectangle remembering to re-ink and stamp off each time. Let some of the images go off the top, left, and right edges.
Mount the "just a little note to say hello" sentiment from the Notes Of Nature Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it just above the postmark image already stamped on the vertical white rectangle close to the right edge.
Mount the multiple leaves on a stem image from the Notes Of Nature Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching leaves on stem die from the Notes Of Nature Dies. Put it on top of the stamped square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the leaves cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Medium (SU500) Natural Tones Stampin' Blends to outline the veins in the leaves.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the leaves and stems and blend in the brown.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored leaves cut out to the front of the pocket insert in the upper right corner as shown. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the edges of the pocket insert or it will stick to the inside of the pocket.
Pick out the largest, next largest, medium, and small solid detailed leaf sprig dies from the Notes Of Nature Dies. Put them on top of the Old Olive square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick as needed to remove the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the largest and smallest leaf sprig cut outs to the front flap of the pocket on the left side as shown so the bottoms of the stems touch and are hidden under the faux leather trim. Make sure no adhesive hangs over the edges of the pocket flap.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the remaining two leaf sprig cut outs to the upper right corner of the pocket insert as shown so the bottoms of the stems are hidden under the leaf cut out. Make sure no adhesive hangs over the edges of the pocket insert or the insert will stick inside the pocket.
Cut a 2-1/2" to 3" piece of the Gold 1/8" Faux Leather Trim.
Slide one end of the trim under the trim already on the front flap of the pocket and tie in place with a half knot so it is centered over the stems of the leaf cut outs as shown. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small cork rounds from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the pocket insert as shown.
