W elcome Autumn and the season of Thanksgiving with a card that features the first frost of the year in beautiful, soothing colors. This panel card was cased from Dawn Ochefske and is a simple and beautiful card to make.
Project Recipe
Let's cut out the card stock and DSP. I used the vines, striped, and daisy like flowered sides:
Vines - 1 1/4" x 4"
Striped - 2 1/4" x 4"
Flowered - 2 3/4 x 4
Shimmery White - 11" x 4 1/4"
Shimmery White - (2) 3 1/2" x 2 1/2"
Mint Macaron - 4 1/2" x 3 1/4"
Mint Macaron - 3 1/2" x 3"
Tranquil Tide - 5 1/4" x 4"
Tranquil Tide - 3 1/2" x 3"
Gray Granite - 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Score the long side of the 11" Shimmery White at 1 1/2", 3", 5 1/2", and 8".
Run the Tranquil Tide through the Big Shot with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder.
Stamp the following:
On fourth column (5 1/2" - 8" area) -
I am Thankful from Painted Harvest, using Soft Suede
On 1 of the small Shimmery White -
The sprig stamp from First Frost, using either markers or stamp pads with blender pens: Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide for buds, Pear Pizzaz for leaves.
On the other small Shimmery White - Gather Together in the center with Soft Suede
Cut out using the Big Shot:
Mint Macaron - 2 Sprigs from the Frosted Bouquet dies
Tranquil Tide - 1 Sprig from the Frosted Bouquet dies and the bow from Stitched Seasons
Pear Pizzaz - 1 leaf stem from Frosted Bouquet
Shimmery White with stamped gather sentiment - small frame from Stitched Seasons centered around the sentiment
Now you're ready to assemble:
Shimmery White Panel:
Adhere the Vines to first panel, Striped to third panel, and Flowers to last panel.
Adhere stamped floral stem to third panel under sentiment.
Adhere Mint Macaron sprig to second panel.
Adhere bow, leaf, and two sprigs to the small frame around the sentiment.
Adhere small frame to first panel only with slight overhang on left side and the rest of the overhang on the right side.
Adhere the Tranquil Tide embossed piece to the Gray Granite base.
Adhere the Mint Macaron piece to the Tranquil Tide embossed piece.
Adhere the panels to the Mint Macaron on the back of the last panel only.
Use a bone folder to make sure your creases are sharp so the panel will stay mostly closed. You could also add a band if you wanted to make sure it stayed closed for mailing.
