P retty Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, foil sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Night Of Navy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Misty Moonlight Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" of stars on watercolor washed blue background design from O Holy Night 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stars are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 1" square from Gold 12" x 12" Foil Sheets
Insert the Misty Moonlight rectangle into the embossing folder included with the Stars At Night Hybrid Embossing Folder so the stars are vertical on the vertical rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-7/8" x 4-1/4" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the O Holy Night Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle cut out to the left side of the vertical, dry embossed Misty Moonlight rectangle so it is centered top to bottom and is about 1/4" from the left edge.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Night Of Navy & Gold 1/2" Glittered Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the bottom of the cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Misty Moonlight rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Night Of Navy card.
Rub the Embossing Buddy included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit all over the Night Of Navy rectangle.
Mount the "the stars are brightly shining" sentiment from the Night Divine Set on Block D. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal Night Of Navy rectangle.
Lay the VersaMark stamped rectangle in the center of the Powder Pal included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit. Sprinkle on some gold powder from the Metallics Stampin' Emboss Powders so it covers the entire sentiment. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool on the highest setting until it is completely melted (shiny and smooth).
Tip: Use the Crafting Tweezers included in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit to hold the cardstock while you are heating it so you don't burn your fingers.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 1-3/8" x 2-3/4" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the heat embossed sentiment rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and is about 3/8" from the right edge of the card.
Pick out the small, single, 8 pointed star die from the Stars At Night Hybred Embossing Folder. Put it on top of the Gold Foil square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the foil side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Cut a tiny piece of Stampin' Dimensionals from the edge of the sheet of Dimensionals using Paper Snips Scissors.
Use the tiny piece of Dimensionals to adhere the gold foil star cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the upper right edge of the designer paper rectangle as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the Night Of Navy & Gold 1/2" Glittered Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front on the left side of the sentiment rectangle cut out. Tie in place with a half knot so it is centered between the left edge of the sentiment rectangle cut out and the left edge of the card. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small white sequin from the sheet of Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the gold foil star cut out.
