I thought that the Stampin' Up! New Horizons Suite would work really well with a half star illusion card! This 3D card even fits in a regular envelope!

With the top of the scenic DSP on the right, trim the paper at 4" so that you're cutting 2" off the top of the scenic DSP. You are left with a piece 6" wide and 4" tall.
Turn the paper on the trimmer and cut 4 strips from the top down. The first strip is 1-1/8", the second & third strips are 1-7/8" each and that leaves the last one at 1-1/8". Your scene should line up with the two narrow strips on either side. Take the two 1-1/8" pieces and trim 1/8" from the top of them.
Adhere the Old Olive mat to the Evening Evergreen base. Adhere the two 1 1/8" scenic DSP strips on either side, 1/16" from the edge of the Old Olive, making sure to keep the scene pieces in the right order.
Using the piece of DSP that has an abstract design of mostly Old Olive, cut two strips that measure 1-3/8" x 3 7/8". The direction of the pattern doesn't matter. Adhere these strips in the middle, right up against the other two, leaving a gap in the middle (about 1/8").
Take the remaining two scenic pieces and adhere them to the 4" x 4-1/8" piece of Evening Evergreen, making sure that the scene is lined up and leaving the score line showing in the middle. Also, cut two pieces of the abstract Old Olive DSP, 1-7/8" x 4", and adhere these to the back, leaving the score line showing in the middle.
Take the 5-7/8" x 4-1/2" Evening Evergreen piece and run it through an embossing machine with the Bark 3D Embossing Folder so that the embossed lines are landscape. Score along the long side at 1-3/8", 2-3/4", 4-1/8" and 5-1/2". Then cut along the 4-1/2" side at 1-1/2" twice so that you have three pieces, 5-7/8" x 1-1/2".
Fold and use a Bone Folder to burnish all three Evening Evergreen pieces on the score lines and put Tear & Tape or Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the small tab. Adhere the ends of each piece together to form three boxes.
With Tear & Tape, cover two adjacent sides of each square (the seam should be in the middle).
Remove tape backing from one box. Take the center 4-1/8" x 4" piece and fold it in half. Hold the folded part on the center of the card base. Adhere the box about 1/2" from the bottom with the fold on the box lining up with the fold on the center piece. Do the same on the other side and then adhere the middle box, making sure they are all the same 1/2" from the bottom.
Die cut the fences in Basic White, four of the grass dies in Old Olive, and the set of five trees in Old Olive. Use the Fresh Freesia and Bumblebee pieces to cut parts of the trees die (see photo). Cut the grass pieces in half and trim the longer fence piece. Layer the grass pieces and fence on the side boxes and adhere. Add some Pebbles Enamel Shapes near the bottom of the fences.
Glue the Fresh Freesia & Bumblebee pieces onto the trees die-cut. Fold in half and glue to the top of the middle box.
Stamp the sentiment from the On The Horizon Stamp Set in Versamark ink on the 3" x 5/8" Evening Evergreen piece and heat emboss it with White Stampin' Emboss Powder. Use a label die to cut out the sentiment. I used a label from the Potted Succulents Dies. For the sentiment hinges, take the 3" x 3/8" Evening Evergreen piece and cut it in half. Fold both pieces in half and glue to the back of the sentiment piece, with the folded edges touching. Then glue the hinges to the middle box, as shown.
