Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Poppy Parade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" of tiny multi-colored embroidery flowers, leaves, and squiggles design from Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, cut so the leaves are vertical
- 2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- thin strip of Whisper White Cardstock at least 3/4" wide
Adhere the piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Paper to the Night of Navy rectangle.
Cut a 5-1/2" piece of the Night of Navy 1/2" Gingham Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock/designer paper layers so it goes across just above the center. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add SNAIL to the back of the Night of Navy rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Poppy Parade card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Needle & Thread Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the skinny sentiment of choice from the Needle & Thread Set on the appropriate sized block. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it near the bottom edge of the white rectangle in the center.
Pick out the stitched rectangle framelit from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits that cuts out a 1-1/4" x 3-1/4" rectangle. Place the stamped sentiment white cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched rectangle framelit on top so it is centered over the words side to side with the sentiment near the bottom edge. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the card front so it is centered over the ribbon.
Mount the set of three small embroidered flowers image from the Needle & Thread Set on Block B. Carefully ink up ONLY the large round flower with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it onto the white strip on one end. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Carefully ink up ONLY the smaller, pointy flower on the set of three small embroidered flowers image on the block with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it onto the white strip in the center. Carefully re-ink ONLY that flower again with the Night of Navy Ink Pad and stamp it on the other end of the white strip. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Unlock the small, rounded-petal, 6 petal punch from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped round, red flower into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the red flower punch out to the sentiment rectangle on the card front over the middle of the stamped sentiment.
Unlock the small, pointed-petal, 8 petal punch from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped pointy blue flowers into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other stamped pointy blue flower.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the two blue flower punch outs to the sentiment rectangle on the card front over the ends of the stamped sentiment.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up three rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the flower punch outs.
