W himsical Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of pine boughs, pinecones, and berries on light green background design from Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the pine boughs are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Soft Suede Cardstock
- scraps of Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of Gold Foil Sheets
Adhere the piece Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper to the front of the Mossy Meadow card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Moose Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger tree image from the Merry Moose Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Soft Suede Marker to color over the trunk of the tree. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the inks and stamp in the center of the vanilla rectangle so the top of the tree is about 1/2" from the top of the rectangle.
Mount the "Merry Christmoose" sentiment from the Merry Moose Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it just below the tree image so it is centered side to side. Get as close to the bottom of the tree as you can.
Pick out the label die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies that cuts out a stitched label that is 2-1/16" wide. Put it on top of the stamped tree and sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so everything is centered. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly firmly along the edges of the die to pop the cut out loose.
Use the Soft Suede Marker to color in the trunk of the tree.
Mount the small ball ornament image from the Merry Moose Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the tree so the ribbons on the top appear to be hanging from one of the lower branches. Leave the stamp on the block.
Adhere the tree and sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered top to bottom and the right edge is about 1-1/8" from the right edge of the card.
Re-ink the small ball ornament with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on one of the scraps of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the ball ornament by hand. Don't worry about the ribbon bow.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ball ornament cut out over the top of the ball ornament already stamped on the card front.
Mount the outline moose image from the Merry Moose Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the Soft Suede strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Moose Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped moose image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Mount the scarf image from the Merry Moose Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
Cut out the scarf image by hand using Paper Snips.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the scarf cut out to the neck of the moose punch out.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the moose with scarf attached punch out to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the tree label and looks like the moose is hanging the ornament on the tree with his mouth.
Unlock the Twinkle Builder Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the scrap of Gold Foil Sheets into the punch and get it positioned so you will punch out one of the medium sized stars. Punch.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the foil star punch out to the top of the tree image.
Cut a 3" piece of Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is on the lower right corner of the tree and sentiment label cut out.
