A nother no-stamping card using retiring and sneak peek products from Stampin' Up!
Project Recipe
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 3" x 4" from Whisper White Thick Card Stock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Thick Card Stock
Adhere the regular Whisper White Card Stock rectangle to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Use the Daffodil Delight Watercolor Pencil to scribble some color across the center of the larger rectangle of Whisper White Thick Card Stock at an angle. Then, scribble some Melon Mambo pencil above it and some Pacific Point pencil below it.
Fill the Aqua Painter with the large brush tip with water. Give it a squeeze to get the water flowing into the brush and then start blending the pencil lines. Start with the yellow and work into the pink so they blend a bit to make orange. Scribble on scratch paper to clean the brush and then blend from the yellow into the blue to make green. Allow the card stock to dry completely. You can speed up drying if you wish using a Heat Tool.
Pick out the smooth oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 2-3/8" x 3-1/4" . Place the watercolored rectangle on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval thinlit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Using a lot of SNAIL all along the edges to make sure the piece lays flat, adhere the watercolored oval to the card front so it is centered and about 3/4" inch from the top of the regular white layer.
Pick out the "friend" thinlit from the Lovely Words Thinlits and the smooth oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 2-1/8" x 3-1/8". Place the smaller Whisper White Thick rectangle on the Precision Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the "friend" thinlit on top and then place the smooth oval framelit around it. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush to remove the card stock.
Place the oval friend cut out upside down on one side of a Silicone Craft Sheet. Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters and clamp the triangle edge of one quarter in a large binder clip. Squeeze a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue on one corner of the Silicone Craft Sheet. Dab the sponge into the glue and then lightly onto the back of the oval friend cut out. Flip the oval friend cut out over and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered in the watercolored oval.
Cut a 10" piece of Melon Mambo Thick Baker's Twine. Tie it in a small bow. Trim the ends. Adhere it to the bottom right side of the "friend" oval using a Mini Glue Dot.
Pick out three star sequins from the Brights Sequin Assortment and adhere them around the oval as shown using Mini Glue Dots.
