Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, Window Sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Grapefruit Grove Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of small pink lilies on watercolored blue and green lily pond background from Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper, cut so the lily pads are horizontal on the horizontal strip
- 1" x 4-1/2" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Coastal Cabana Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Window Sheets
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 6-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Lily Impressions Designer Paper to the large Coastal Cabana rectangle and then to the front of the Grapefruit Grove card.
Pick out the strip of connected tear drop shapes die from the Lily Pad Dies. Put it on top of the long, skinny strip of Bermuda Bay Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Save the long strip of connected tear drop shapes.
Cut the long strip of connected tear drop shapes in half vertically.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the pieces of connected tear drop shapes to the front of the card. Make sure the points of the tear drops are pointing up and the bottoms are 1-1/2" from the bottom of the card. The left flat end of the left strip should be even with the left edge of the designer paper and the right flat end of the right strip should be even with the right edge of the designer paper.
Pick out both the 4-1/8" long and 2-5/8" long dies from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Put the large die on top of the small Coastal Cabana rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Put the smaller die inside of the first die so it is centered top and bottom on the right side with an equal amount of cardstock showing on the top, bottom, and right edges. Run through the tool. Keep the larger cut out label with the small label cut into it. Throw away or save for a future project the small, solid label cut out.
Tip: You may have to press fairly hard along the edges of the dies to pop the cardstock loose.
Cut a 9" piece of the Bermuda Bay Metallic Twine from the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack.
Tie the twine around the right side of the label cut out using a small bow. Trim the ends of the twine.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Sending You Thoughts Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp it near the top on the right side of the small white rectangle. Make sure you leave room to cut it out.
As you are ready to stamp using the Lovely Lily Pad Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the line of water stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block H so the smooth side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the small white rectangle so it is just below the stamped sentiment. Let the right edge of the image go off the right edge of the cardstock. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just below the first water image so they overlap a small amount. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Mount the line of water stamp again on Block H but this time so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Coastal Cabana Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the small white rectangle so it is just below the stamped sentiment and overlaps the previously stamped water images. Let the right edge of the image go off the right edge of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Pick out the 3-1/8" long die from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies. Put the die on top of the stamped white rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is near the top edge on the right side. Don't worry if the left side of the cut out won't have any water images stamped on it. Run through the tool. Keep the die out for the next step.
Tip: You may have to press fairly hard along the edges of the die to pop the cardstock loose.
Put the 3-1/8" long Stitched Nested Label Die on top of the Window Sheets rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Tip: You may have to press fairly hard along the edges of the die to pop the window sheet loose.
Adhere the stamped white label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered up and down over the connected teardrops line on the right side with the right point of the label being about 3/4" from the right side of the card.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive along the edges of the center cut out on the back side of the Coastal Cabana label cut out (the tied on ribbon should be on the left side when the back of the label is face up). Make sure you get the Tear & Tape as close to the edges of the center cut out as possible.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape Adhesive and adhere the Window Sheet label cut out to the back of the Coastal Cabana label so it covers the hole.
Put Foam Adhesive Strips on the back of the Coastal Cabana label cut out as close to the edges of the center cut out as possible. Make sure you do not leave any gaps. Put a couple of small pieces of Foam Adhesive Strips on the large uncut area of the back of the Coastal Cabana label cut out as well. Leave the protective backings on the Foam Adhesive Strips for now.
Rub the Embossing Buddy over the inside of the Foam Adhesive Strip outlined area and try to get the edges of the Foam Adhesive Strips that are facing into the center of the cut out area.
Put a large pinch of sequins from the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack in the center of the birthday/water white label cut out on the front of the card.
Remove the protective backings from the Foam Adhesive Strips and adhere the Coastal Cabana label cut out to the front of the card so the window in the label is centered over the white birthday/water label already on the card. The points of the label should be centered top to bottom across the connected tear drop strips and the bow should be on the right side.
Mount the large lily flower stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block D so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the large white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Mount the large lily flower stamp on Block D again but this time so the solid side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped detailed large lily flower image. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put the stamp away.
Tip: The solid image does NOT match up exactly with the detailed image, just get it as close as you can. It is just meant to add a splash of solid color to the detailed image.
Mount the medium lily flower stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block B so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large white rectangle. Leave room between the lily images to cut them out. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Mount the medium lily flower stamp on Block B again but this time so the solid side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp once onto scratch paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it over the previously stamped detailed medium lily flower image.
Mount the small lily flower stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block A so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Melon Mambo Ink Pad. Stamp once onto scratch paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it on the other end of the large white rectangle. Leave room between the lily images to be able to cut them out. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
Mount the small lily flower stamp on Block A again but this time so the solid side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp once onto scratch paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp it over the previously stamped detailed small lily flower image. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put the stamp away.
Pick out the large lily flower die, the medium lily flower die, and the small lily flower die from the Lily Pad Dies. Put them on top of the matching stamped lily flower images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so they are centered over the images. Run through the tool.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the large and medium lily flower cut outs on the card front so they overlap the left end of the shaker label cut out but do NOT cover the sentiment. The large lily flower cut out should overlap the medium lily flower cut out a bit along the bottom left side. Once happy with the arrangement, adhere them in place one at a time using SNAIL.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the small lily flower cut out to the front of the card so it is tucked under the edges of the medium and large lily flower cut outs a bit.
