Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bermuda Bay Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 6" of blue brushstrokes design from Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 6" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 10" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2-1/2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the horizontal, large, white rectangle.
Adhere the piece of Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the stamped white rectangle at a slight downward angle so the top of the right side of the designer paper is about 1-3/4" from the top of the white rectangle and the top of the left side of the designer paper is about 2-1/2" from the top of the white rectangle. Use Paper Snips to cut off excess designer paper on the right, bottom, and left edges.
Unlock the Braided Border Punch. Slide one long side of the 1" x 6" Granny Apple Green strip into the punch so it butts up against the guide at the back of the punch. Punch. Slide the punched cardstock over a little bit and line up the punched area with the silver design printed on the base of the punch. Punch again. Repeat as necessary until the entire length has been punched.
Tip: I sometimes find it easier to line things up with this punch if I turn the punch over so I can see the punching area. I then line up the punched areas with the designs of the punch before punching again.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the punched Granny Apple Green strip to the white/designer paper rectangle so the top edge of the punched strip hides the seam between the white cardstock and the designer paper. Use Paper Snips to cut off excess punched Granny Apple Green Cardstock on the right and left edges.
Adhere the stamped and layered white rectangle to the front of the Bermuda Bay card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Lovely Lily Pad Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the large lily pad stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block H so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the 1-1/4" x 10" Granny Apple Green strip.
Mount the small lily pad stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block G so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 1-1/4" x 10" Granny Apple Green strip, leaving a little space between it and the previously stamped image.
Mount the lily flower bracket stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block G so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 1-1/4" x 10" Granny Apple Green strip, leaving a little space between it and the previously stamped image.
Mount the leaf stamp from the Lovely Lily Pad Set on Block G so the detailed side of the stamp is the one you will be stamping. Ink up the stamp with the Granny Apple Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 1-1/4" x 10" Granny Apple Green strip, leaving a little space between it and the previously stamped image. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the Granny Apple Green strip on the end.

Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and Stampin' Scrub.

WITHOUT re-inking, stamp it over the other previously stamped detailed large lily flower image on the other large white rectangle.
Tip: The solid image does NOT match up exactly with the detailed image, just get it as close as you can. It is just meant to add a splash of solid color to the detailed image.

Adhere the large lily pad cut out to the card front so it is tucked under the bottom edges of the two large flower cut outs and is centered under the two flowers.
Adhere the small lily pad cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left edge of the large lily pad a bit and may overlap the tips of the bottom petals of the large flower on the left side.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (cut them down using Paper Snips if needed) to adhere the flower bracket cut out to the front of the card so the bottom of the stem is near the center of the large lily pad cut out and the bracket is centered between the two large flowers.
