B right, cheery card using Stampin' Up! products and the thumping and rock & roll techniques.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
- 3" x 4-1.4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Lemon Zest Set on Block B or C. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the large Lemon Lime Twist rectangle.
Insert the stamped Lemon Lime Twist rectangle into the Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder so that you can read the stamped image and the logos printed on the front flap of the folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on a Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the stamped, dry embossed Lemon Lime Twist rectangle to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Mount the whole lemon image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping the image, do a little thumping! Take the cap off the brush tip of the Lemon Lime Twist Marker. Randomly thump the brush tip of the marker around on the inked up image quite a few times. Breathe on the image to moisten the ink and stamp it on one end of the 3" x 4-1/4" strip of Whisper White Cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Tip: To make it easier to punch in a later step, try to stamp the whole lemon image with the narrower point of the lemon on the bottom.
Ink up the whole lemon image with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. BEFORE stamping, roll one edge of the inked up stamp across the open Old Olive Ink Pad to get the darker green ink on one side of the stamp. BEFORE stamping, use the brush tip of the Lemon Lime Twist Marker to blend the line between the two greens. Breathe on the image to moisten the ink and stamp it on the other end of the 3" x 4-1/4" strip of Whisper White Cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away. Clean the tip of the marker by scribbling on Grid Paper.
Tip: To make it easier to punch in a later step, try to stamp the whole lemon image with the narrower point of the lemon on the bottom.
Unlock the Lemon Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped lemon images into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. Make sure you aren't going to punch any of the other lemon with the leaves. Punch. Repeat with the other lemon image. Leave the punch unlocked.
Adhere the two lemon punch outs to the front of the card in the upper right corner so they overlap a bit. Leave room to add the leaves.
Mount the leaf with stem image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock so the stem is pointing down and slightly to the right.
Holding the unlocked Lemon Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped leaf image into the punch. Carefully line up the leaf in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the leaf without a stem image from the Lemon Zest Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the strip of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock so one pointy end of the leaf is pointing to right and up with the smooth curve of the leaf on the left side.
Holding the unlocked punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped leaf image into the punch. Carefully line up the leaf in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Adhere the leaf punch outs to the front of the card so they overlap each other and the tops of the lemons a bit.
Cut a 3" piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the lemons/bottom of the leaves using a Mini Glue Dot.
