Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Boho Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" of different blue flowers and stems on white background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 4" x 5-1/2" of different blue flowers and stems on white background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2 strips each 1/2" x 5-1/2" from Night Of Navy Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Lasting Joy Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "May the years ahead be filled with lasting joy" sentiment from the Lasting Joy Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the vertical 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom edge and 1/2" from the right edge.
Adhere one of the long, skinny Night Of Navy strips to one long edge of the 2-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper so about 1/8" of cardstock shows along the long edge.
Adhere the other long, skinny Night Of Navy strip to one long edge of the 4" x 5-1/2" piece of Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper so about 1/8" of cardstock shows along the long edge.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the designer paper pieces with strips of Night Of Navy attached on top of the sentiment stamped white rectangle to figure out placement so the Night Of Navy strips are on the inside and frame the sentiment as shown with the tops of the strips meeting at a point near the top left corner as shown.
Mount the larger leaf stem image from the Lasting Joy Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it 3 times on the stamped white rectangle just above the sentiment and between the matted designer paper pieces as shown. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let the center stem be a little higher than the side stems.
Once happy with the placement and stamping, adhere the matted designer paper pieces in place one at a time. Then, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on all the edges.
Adhere the stamped and layered white rectangle to the center of the Night Of Navy rectangle and then to the front of the Boho Blue card.
Mount the large flower image from the Lasting Joy Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Boho Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it 3 times on the remaining white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and leave room between the images to be able to cut them out.
Mount the single, tiny, filled-in flower image from the Lasting Joy Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it inside each of the centers of the stamped light blue flowers, remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the large flower images by hand.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Night Of Navy Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of all three large flower cut outs.
Use Stampin' Seal to adhere two of the flower cut outs to the card front as shown so they overlap the tops of the stems, each other, and the edges of the matted designer paper pieces a bit.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the remaining large flower cut out to the card front so it overlaps the tops of the first two flowers and the edges of the matted designer paper pieces a bit as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to peel up one large and two small pearls from the sheet of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels making sure you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the stamped flowers so the large pearl is in the center of the popped up top flower and the two small pearls are in the centers of the other two flowers.
