Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" x 5-1/2"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4" of pink and red plaid design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Real Red Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 3-3/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Fold the card in half at the 5-1/2" score mark. Then fold on the 2-3/4" score mark so the front of the card folds back on itself making a "z fold" card.
Mount the belated birthday sentiment from the Something Fancy Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" horizontal white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the inside flap of the card.
Adhere the piece of Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper to the front flap of the card.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-5/8" x 4" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the large Flirty Flamingo rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the large white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
As you are ready to stamp using the Ice Cream Swirl Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the strawberry image from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the white rectangle cut out. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the strawberry image on Block B with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the matching strawberry die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the stamped strawberry image on the small rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the strawberry cut out and the stamped white rectangle cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in half of each of the strawberry bases and to highlight the seeds.
Use the Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the strawberry bases.
Use the Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to color in the strawberry leaves.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle cut out to the center of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle cut out.
Cut a 4" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green 3/8" Ribbon Combo Pack.
Fold the ribbon in half. Use a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the folded ribbon to the back of the matted rectangle cut outs so it sticks out from behind in the upper left corner.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive holding the ribbon in place and add a couple of more strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to about 1-1/2" from the left edge. Remove the backings. Adhere the matted rectangle cut outs with ribbon attached to the front flap of the card as shown.
Note: Make sure NOT to get adhesive past the fold of the front flap or your card will be sealed shut.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored strawberry cut out to the lower right corner of the matted rectangle cut outs.
Note: Make sure NOT to let any adhesive hang over the edges of the rectangles or the card will be sealed shut.
Pick out the less detailed "celebrate" word die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the thin Flirty Flamingo strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the long, skinny Real Redt strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the more detailed "celebrate" word die from the Wanted To Say Dies. Put it on top of the Real Red strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the red side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the more detailed "celebrate" word cut out. Adhere it to the center of the less detailed "celebrate" word cut out.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the layered "celebrate" word cut outs to the center of the strawberry rectangle cut out as shown.
