F un, interactive shaker, thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Window Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Window Sheets
- 3-1/2" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 2" square from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Ice Cream Swirl Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "thanks" sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly all over the vertical Pool Party rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock.
Mount the cookie straw piece image from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the thin Crumb Cake rectangle.
Pick out the matching cookie straw die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cookie straw image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Pick out the short, open, ice cream cone die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Rub the open Crumb Cake Ink Pad across the inside of the crosshatched embossing folder included in the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Insert the small ice cream cone cut out into the inky embossing folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Pick out the open ice cream die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cookie cut out and the dry embossed/inked cone cut out on the stamped Pool Party rectangle. Lay the open ice cream die on top to figure out spacing and placement.
Carefully adhere the cookie cut out to the Pool Party rectangle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen so the bottom of the cookie will be cut out by the die.
Carefully adhere the cone cut out to the Pool Party rectangle using Stampin' Seal so the scalloped top of the cone will be cut out by the die.
Place the Pool Party rectangle with cookie and cone attached on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Place the open ice cream die on top so it is centered side to side and will cut off the bottom of the cookie and the top of the cone. Run through the machine.
Lay the Pool Party rectangle with ice cream shape cut out of it upside down on your work surface. Put Stampin' Seal all around the edges of the ice cream cut out. Adhere the Window Sheet square to the back.
Mount the ice cream swirl image from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Soft Sea Foam square.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the Pool Party rectangle over the top of the stamped ice cream Soft Sea Foam square so the ice cream image is lined up inside the cut out. Carefully flip the Pool Party rectangle over. Use a pen to mark the corners of the Soft Sea Foam square on the back of the Pool Party rectangle.
Leave the Pool Party rectangle upside down on your work surface. Carefully adhere Foam Adhesive Strips around the edges of the ice cream cut out in the center of the rectangle. Get as close as you can to the cut edges, but make sure the Foam Adhesive Strips won't show through the window. Make sure there are NO gaps between the Foam Adhesive Strips or the shaker contents will spill out.
Put several large pinches of Iridescent Shaker Circles inside the foam surrounding the opening in the Pool Party rectangle.
Remove the protective backings from the Foam Adhesive Strips and carefully adhere the stamped ice cream Soft Sea Foam square over the top. Make sure the ice cream will be showing through the opening and is right side up. Line it up using the pen marks you made earlier.
Add Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the shaker card front. Adhere to the front of the Soft Sea Foam card.
Give your card a shake to see how well it works.
Cut a 4" piece of the Silver & White 1/2" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown at an angle so it is centered over the top left side of the cone.
