Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Shaded Spruce Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/2" x 4-1/4" of tiny cherries with stems and leaves and faint diagonal lines on white background design from Sunny Days 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-3/4" x 3-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Ice Cream Swirl Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the "Yum Yum" sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly across the top 1/3 of the Shaded Spruce card front. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the card front.
Adhere the strip of Sunny Days Designer Paper to the front of the stamped card in the center.
Ink up the Stampin' Brayer by running it across the open Pecan Pie Ink Pad several times. Make sure not to roll back and forth, but to roll from one direction only.
Place the solid ice cream cone die with the patterns cut into it cutting side up on Grid Paper on your work surface. Roll the inked up Stampin' Brayer across the cutting surface. Make sure to roll from one direction only, do not roll back and forth. Repeat a couple of times with a newly re-inked brayer.
Pick out the double-sided ice cream cone die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so one side of the cone is centered on the cardstock. Put the inked up solid ice cream cone die cutting side down inside the open cone die and get it centered. Run through the machine.
Note: The solid ice cream cone die just cuts patterns into the cardstock. By adding ink to the die with the brayer before using it, the patterns show up better as the ink gets transferred from the die to the cardstock.
If needed, cut off excess cone along the top fold line using Paper Snips Scissors.
Adhere the ice cream cone cut out to the front of the card so it is as close as possible to the bottom edge and is about 1/2" from the left side.
Pick out the open ice cream die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the Very Vanilla rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the swirled ice cream die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the Early Espresso rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Seal and Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Early Espresso ice cream swirl cut out to the center of the vanilla ice cream cut out.
Adhere the layered ice cream to the front of the card so it is centered over the top of the cone.
Mount the cherry image from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the smaller white rectangle.
Pick out the matching cherry die from the Ice Cream Swirl Dies. Put it on top of the stamped cherry image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the cherry cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends to color in the cherry.
Use the Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to color in the cherry stem.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored cherry cut out to the front of the card as shown.
Mount the "make a wish" sentiment from the Ice Cream Swirl Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, slightly larger white rectangle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the words by hand.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out words to the front of the card as shown.
