F un fold birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Real Red Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2"
- 5-1/4" x 8" from Basic White Cardstock, scored at 2" and 4"
- 2" x 4-1/4" of marbled pink design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of marbled pink design from Most Adored 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
Fold the Real Red card in half. Figure out which is the front half of the card.
Pick out the large, open heart without a tab die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put it on top of the front flap of the Real Red card on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the top Use a Post-It Note to hold the die in place. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hooray For Surprises Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Make a Wish" sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the horizontal 2" x 4-1/4" strip of Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper.
Cut a 5" piece of the Real Red ribbon in the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the top of the stamped designer paper strip so it is about 1/4" from the top. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the card so it is about 1/4" from the bottom edge.
Fold the large white cardstock rectangle on the score lines so you will have a skinny flap on the right side.
Adhere the 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" strip of Most Adored Specialty Designer Paper down the center of the flap on the right side.
Adhere the large flap on the left/back to the inside of the Real Red card.
Mount the birthday sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Flirty Flamingo square.
Place the large, open heart without a tab die on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine. Leave the die out.
Adhere the sentiment heart cut out to the inside of the card through the heart cut out in the front flap of the card.
Mount the large heart with tulips inside image from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Place the large, open heart without a tab die on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the floral heart cut out to the left side of the skinny flap on the right side of the inside of the card. Adhere the cut out through the hole cut in the front of the card. Make sure to use adhesive ONLY on the part of the cut out that overlaps the skinny flap or you will seal the card shut.
Cut a 3" piece of the Real Red ribbon from the Real Red & Burlap Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot so it is on the left side. Trim the ends.
