Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Poppy Parade Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/3" x 3-3/4" of yellow and white plaid design from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" square from Poppy Parade Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Hooray For Surprises Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "you are simply amazing" sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it 7 times down the center of the vertical 3-3/4" x 5" white rectangle. Start about 1/2" from the top. Stamp each remaining time just below the previously stamped sentiment so they are about 1/4" apart. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the large, open circle with a tab die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiments and the tab is in the upper right corner. Run through the machine.
Note: This die does NOT completely cut out the circle. Instead, it perforates the circle so it can be easily torn free later by the person who receives the card.
Mount the tiny "pull" sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the tab of the perforated circle as shown.
Adhere the strip of Bee Mine Designer Paper to the bottom of the stamped and perforated white rectangle.
Mount the large flower image from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" white square. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again in the center of the 3" white square.
Pick out the matching, large, open flower die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flower image on the 2-1/2" square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out flower to the center of the perforated circle on the white rectangle.
Mount the "You're the best" sentiment from the Hooray For Surprises Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Poppy Parade Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped flower on the 3" square.
Adhere the flower and sentiment stamped 3" square to the center of the large, vertical Poppy Parade rectangle so it is about 5/8" from the top edge.
Adhere the Poppy Parade rectangle with flower and sentiment stamped square attached to the front of the Daffodil Delight card.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the stamped white cardstock rectangle with designer paper attached so it covers the seam between the cardstock and designer paper. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle well away from the perforated circle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered on the Poppy Parade rectangle.
Important: Make sure NOT to put adhesive on the back of the perforated circle or you won't be able to pull off the tab.
Pick out the tiny, open flower die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies. Put it on top of the small Poppy Parade square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the small flower cut out to the center of the flower on the front of the card.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large white with yellow center flower from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower cut out.
Cut a 3" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front. Tie in place with a half knot so it is centered under the perforated circle as shown. Trim the ends.
