Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pecan Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 2-3/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Gold 12" x 12" Foil Sheets
- 1/2" x 3" from Real Red Cardstock
Insert the Cajun Craze rectangle into the Timber 3D Embossing Folder so the grain runs horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Cajun Craze rectangle to the front of the Pecan Pie card.
Mount the fence posts image from the Hey Chuck Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it across the top of the vertical Pecan Pie rectangle a couple of times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and try to line up the open ends of the fence. Let the images go off the edges of the cardstock. Repeat stamping the fence across the center of the rectangle and then again across the bottom of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped Pecan Pie rectangle to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so the upper left corner is about 3/8" from the left side and the upper right corner is about 3/4" from the top.
Pick out the weathervane die from the Hey Chuck Dies. Put it on top of the Gold Foil Sheet rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the weathervane cut out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so the fletching on the arrow covers the upper right corner of the fence post rectangle and the tip of the arrow is about 3/8" from the right side.
Mount the rooster in boxer shorts image from the Hey Chuck Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla rectangle.
Place the rooster rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to color in the rooster's body and wings and to color the ground beneath the rooster's feet.
Use the Light and Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the rooster's tail feathers, head, neck, wattles, cockscomb, and eyelids. Leave his eyes uncolored.
Use the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blends to color in the dots on his boxer shorts. Leave the rest of the boxer shorts uncolored.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends to color in the rooster's beak, feet, and legs.
Adhere the colored rooster rectangle to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it overlaps the bottom of the weathervane and the lower right side of the fence rectangle. The upper right corner of the rectangle should be about 3/8" from the right edge of the card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Real Red strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Hey Chuck Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched red strip with the notch on the right side.
Adhere the sentiment punch strip to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the rooster rectangle and the right edge is about 3/8" from the right edge of the card.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Pecan Pie 1/2" Bordered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle as shown so it is centered over the left side of the sentiment strip.
