B right and cheery hello card made with spritzing and Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Tahitian Tide Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Parakeet Party Cardstock
- 3-7/8" square from Tahitian Tide Cardstock
- 3-3/4" square from Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Note: Regular Basic White Cardstock will also work for the spritzed square, but the Thick Cardstock warps less when it gets wet.
DO THIS STEP FIRST!
Put 12 drops of Tahitian Tide Ink Refill into an empty Stampin' Spritzer. Fill the rest of the spritzer up with 1/2 water and 1/2 rubbing alcohol. Give it a good shake to mix the color into the water/alcohol mix.
Put the 3-3/4" square of Basic White Thick Cardstock on a mat of paper towels to protect your work surface. Make sure all items that you don't want to get ink on are out of the way.
Spritz the Tahitian Tide ink/alcohol mix in the center of the square. Leave some of the edges light or white.
Set aside and allow to dry.
Insert the Parakeet Party rectangle into the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Parakeet Party rectangle to the front of the Tahitian Tide card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybut Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large leaf image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Parakeet Party Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2" Basic White square.
Cut out the leaf image by hand using Paper Snips Scissors.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin white strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other end.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Tahitian Tide Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip at a slight angle. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on either side of the first stamped sentiment at a slightly different angle so it is centered between the sentiment and the end of the banner. Repeat on the other side remembering to re-ink the stamp.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Parakeet Party Stampin' Write Marker to carefully outline the edges of the sentiment banner.
If the spritzed square is dry, proceed with the next step.
Adhere the spritzed square to the Tahitian Tide square at a slight offset as shown.
Adhere the matted, spritzed square to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it is centered side to side and is about 3/4" from the top.
Adhere the cut out leaf image to the center of the spritzed square as shown.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment banner to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the leaf.
Cut a 16" piece of the Tahitian Tide twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card as shown along the bottom right side of the matted, spritzed white square.
Carefully pick out five different sizes of white little flower and leaf embellishments from the Loose Daisy Embellishments.
Put five tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen around the leaf on the spritzed square and adhere the white Loose Daisy Embellishments to the dots of liquid glue as shown.
