V alentine tag using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2" x 4-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
- 1-7/8" x 3-1/4" of tiny red and pink arrows and white dots on pink background design from From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 5" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 4" from Real Red Cardstock
Unlock the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Slide one short edge of the 2" x 4-1/4" Real Red strip into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Adhere the piece of From My Heart Designer Paper to the front of the tag so about 1/16" of red shows on the bottom, left, and right sides.
As you are ready to stamp using the Heartfelt Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large doily double heart image from the Heartfelt Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the white strip.
Mount the small doily with little hearts inside image from the Heartfelt Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the small heart in the center of the previously stamped image.
Mount the large dotted outline heart image from the Heartfelt Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the white strip.
Mount the "So lucky to have a friend...", "From My Heart to Yours," or "Love You Lots" sentiment from the Heartfelt Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped dotted heart outline image.
Unlock the scalloped heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped doily heart image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the smooth-edged heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment heart image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the heart punch outs to the front of the tag using SNAIL Adhesive so they overlap each other and hang off the edges of the tag a bit. Be careful not to get adhesive past the edges of the tag.
Place the Detailed Hearts Die on top of the small Real Red rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Save 5 different solid hearts.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere 4 of the hearts to the tag front so some of them overlap the large heart punch outs.
Use Paper Snips to cut a small piece of Dimensional from the edge of a sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals.
Use the small piece of Dimensional to adhere the final heart to the front of the tag so it is in the angle where the two large heart punch outs meet on the lower left side.
Cut a large enough piece of Real Red 3/8" Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon to wrap around the gift.
Wrap the ribbon around the gift and tie in place with a half knot. Slide the tag onto the end of one side of the ribbon and tie in place with a knot. Trim the ends of the ribbon.
