B right, cheery celebration card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Azure Afternoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lemon Lolly Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 4-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 4-5/8" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 1" x 4-1/4" from Granny Apple Green Cardstock
- 3/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
Insert the Lemon Lolly rectangle into the dotted embossing folder included in the Basics 3D Embossing Folders. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Lemon Lolly rectangle to the front of the Azure Afternoon card.
Place the large white rectangle vertically on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends to color in the center of the vertical white rectangle.
Use the Light and Dark Lemon Lime Twist Stampin' Blends to color in the bottom of the white rectangle blending the top into the yellow area.
Use the Light and Dark Azure Afternoon Stampin' Blends to color in the top of the white rectangle blending the bottom into the yellow area.
Go over the boundaries between the colors with the Light Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends to blend everything together.
Pick out the large, fern-like leaves die from the Meadow Dies. Put it on top of the blended rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered and the stem is pointing down. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Keep both pieces!
Adhere the large, blended rectangle with the fern cut out of it over the top of the large Granny Apple Green rectangle so the green shows through the cut out fern.
Pick out the long, skinny, scallop edge die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of the thin strip of Granny Apple Green on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered and will cut out a line of scallops. Run through the machine.
If necessary, trim the ends of the scallop line down so the edges are even and flat.
Adhere the scallop green strip to the back of the matted fern cut out so the scallops stick out just a bit along the right edge and are centered top to bottom.
Adhere the matted fern cut out with scallops attached to the left side of the card front so it is about 3/8" from the top, bottom, and left edges.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the fern cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the cut out on the matted rectangle.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the white strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the larger scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other end.
As you are ready to stamp using the Happy Little Things Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the open block letter "celebrate" sentiment from the Happy Little Things Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Azure Afternoon Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched white strip.
Mount the solid block letter "celebrate" sentiment from the Happy Little Things Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Lemon Lolly Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the previously stamped word on the punched white strip.
Use the fine tip of the Granny Apple Green Stampin' Write Marker to add little dots to all the letters as shown.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom of the card front so it is centered side to side and covers the bottom of the stems.
Cut a 12" piece of the Lemon Lolly twine from the Baker's Twine Three Color Pack.
Fold the twine in half. Tie a small bow in the center of the folded twine. Trim the ends.
Use a squished up Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card as shown near the left bottom of the sentiment strip.
Carefully punch out one small, open wing butterfly from a sheet of Paper Butterfly Accents.
Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the back of the butterfly accent to adhere it to the card front as shown near the upper left corner of the blended rectangle.
