A
bright birthday card for the man in your life made using the Classic Garage Suite from the Spring & Summer 2019 Catalogue.
I've seen this card, and some similar, about the internet but first saw this on Pinterest by Joyce Whitman - so thank you to her for the inspiration.
Project Recipe
Take a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock measuring 8"x6" (20.4cm x 15.2cm). Butt the long edge to the top edge of your Stampin' Trimmer or Scoreboard and score at 4" (10.2cm). Using your Bone Folder, fold and burnish the score line to form your card base.
Cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock measuring 5 13/16" x 3 13/16". Attach this to the front of your card base using your own choice of adhesive.
Using the large gear/cogs die from the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies, cut one each from:- Poppy Parade, Tranquil Tide and Pumpkin Pie.
From Crushed Curry Cardstock cut two of the triple cogs and one of the large spikey cogs.
Cut the cogs/gears shown in the photo from the large images. Adhere these to the Basic Black layer as shown, using the Liquid Glue.
Using the 'All Geared Up To Celebrate' sentiment stamp from the Geared Up Garage stamp set and a Clear Block, ink the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and stamp it on a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Cut this out using the Straight Edged Oval #7 (I label my layered dies from smallest to largest'), making sure that the wording is centred.
Cut a #5 Scalloped Oval from a scrap of Crushed Curry and stick the sentiment on top.
Using 5 Stampin Dimensionals, add the layered sentiment to the bottom left of the card.
Take a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock measuring 5 3/4" x 3 3/4".
Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the 'Happiest Birthday To You' stamp from the Needle and Thread Stamp Set, stamp the sentiment across the middle of the Cardstock in portrait. Attach to the inside right page of your card.
Add the remaining Crushed Curry Triple Cogs/Gears die cut to the bottom right corner using Liquid Adhesive.
Your card is now finished. Sit back and admire your creation
