Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 6-1/4" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 6" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 4" x 4-1/2" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
Pick out the laser cut light blue waves large card from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the edges of the laser cut Come Sail Away Memories & More Card to the large vanilla rectangle.
Mount the large magnolia blossom surrounded by leaves image from the Good Morning Magnolia Set on Block F. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Mossy Meadow square. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Pick out the large blossom and leaves die from the Magnolia Memory Dies. Put it on top of the stamped magnolia and leaves image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the image. Run through the tool.
Re-ink the large magnolia surrounded by leaves image using the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square so you get the flower portion of the image. Clean the stamp and put it away.
Cut out the flower image by hand using Paper Snips.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the cut out flower image over the top of the flower image stamped on the Mossy Meadow cut out. Use Paper Snips to trim off chunks of the Mossy Meadow image where it frames the flower.
Now adhere the vanilla flower cut out to the center of the trimmed down Mossy Meadow cut out so it covers the flower stamped on the Mossy Meadow.
Adhere the layered magnolia cut out with leaves to the left side of the matted laser cut card.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/2 x 3" white strip at the bottom when the strip is vertical.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked. Keep ALL the pieces.
To help line up the ribbon slots on the punched out sentiment, place the blue cardstock with the ribbon slot punched out of it on top of the right side of the punched out sentiment and get it centered. Use a pen or pencil to draw around the inside of the ribbon slot. Repeat on the left side of the punched out sentiment.
Slide one short edge of the sentiment punch out into the side of the Label Me Fancy Punch that punches out a ribbon slot. Get the punching area centered on the outline of the ribbon slot you drew in the previous step and punch. Repeat with the other short edge of the sentiment punch out.
Cut a 6-1/2" piece of the 3/8" Linen Ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.
Thread the sentiment punch out onto the ribbon and get it centered on the right side of the ribbon.
Lay the ribbon with sentiment punch out threaded on it across the matted laser cut card/cardstock/magnolia cut out rectangle so the bottom of the ribbon is about 5/8" from the bottom edge. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the vanilla rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
Cut a 4" piece of the 3/8" Linen Ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card on the left side of the sentiment punch out. Tie the ribbon in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Gold Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
