F un easel card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, Glimmer Paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Merry Merlot Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2"
- 2 pieces of 4" x 5-1/4" from Grapefruit Grove Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 10" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Gold Glimmer Paper
- 1" x 2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4" from Merry Merlot Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-3/4" from Gold Glimmer Paper
- 1-1/8" x 3-5/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Tear a piece of wax paper off a roll and place it on your work surface to protect it. Place one of the Grapefruit Grove rectangles on the wax paper. Pick out the diamond pattern mask from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. Place it on the cardstock and wax paper at an angle so the lower right corner of the cardstock is exposed.
Tip: If desired, use pieces of washi tape to hold the cardstock and mask in place. Just make sure they don't cover anywhere that you want to have the pattern.
Open the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and give it a stir with the Palette Knife of your choice. Get a little paste on the knife and start spreading it over the mask. You want a thin layer of paste to go through all the holes in the mask. Get more paste on the knife as needed.
Carefully remove the mask from the cardstock and set the cardstock aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: Immediately rinse your Palette Knife and mask under running water to remove excess paste and let it air dry.
Adhere the small strip of Merry Merlot Cardstock to the bottom of the other rectangle of Grapefruit Grove so about 1/8" of the Grapefruit Grove shows along the bottom edge.
Cut a 5" piece of Gold 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock layers so it covers the seam between the two colors. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere the layers to the inside of the Merry Merlot card on the unscored side.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to the back side of the Gold Glimmer Paper strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of glimmer paper on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (glimmer paper facing up).
Pick out the word "dream" thinlit from the Chase Your Dream Framelits. Place it on top of the glimmer paper on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the word "dream" cut out and adhere it to the center of the Merry Merlot rectangle on the inside of the card so it is close to the bottom edge.
Mount the dream catcher image from the Follow Your Dreams Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Merry Merlot Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open, dream catcher framelit from the Chase Your Dreams Framelits. Place the stamped dream catcher image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the dream catcher framelit on top so it is centered over the dream catcher image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the detailed, circular thinlit from the Chase Your Dreams Framelits. Place it on top of the cut out dream catcher image on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so the circle thinlit is lined up over the circle on the top of the dream catcher. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Mount the stamp with the single and double feathers on it from the Follow Your Dreams Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Grapefruit Grove Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the long, thin strip of vanilla cardstock. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the feathers stamp with the Merry Merlot Ink Pad. Stamp it two times on the long thin strip of vanilla. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Stamp it one more time without re-inking the stamp.
Pick out the matching framelit that cuts out the small feathers separately from the Chase Your Dreams Framelits. Place the stamped feathers on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the small feathers framelit on top so it is centered over one of the feathers images. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat until all the little flowers are cut out. Keep the feathers framelit out for the next step.
Place the small strip of Glimmer Paper upside down (glimmer side down) on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the small feathers framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
If your embossing paste pattern on the Grapefruit Grove piece is dry, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, wait for the embossing paste to dry.
If desired, use a sanding block to smooth the edges of the Grapefruit Grove rectangle to get rid of any ragged edges formed by the embossing paste.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional in the middle of the circular portion of the dream catcher on the back and regular Dimensionals on the bottom of the dream catcher on the back to adhere the dream catcher to the center of the Grapefruit Grove rectangle. Make sure the open corner is still down on the lower right.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere one single Merry Merlot feather and one single Grapefruit Grove feather on the circle at the top of the dream catcher so they appear to be coming out of the circle in the center and pointing to the right.
Carefully peel up a medium gem from a sheet of Gold Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the circle at the top of the dream catcher.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the rest of the little feathers to the bottom of the strings at the bottom of the dream catcher. Let them overlap.
Mount the "Follow Your Dreams" sentiment from the Follow Your Dreams Set on Block G. Use the brush tip of the Merry Merlot Marker to ink up only the words "Follow Your." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp it in the center of the tiny strip of vanilla.
Pick out the rolling pin framelit from the Apron Builder Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment strip on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the rolling pin framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Paper Snips to cut off the handles on either side of the rolling pin so you just have a thin, straight sentiment piece.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom right corner of the Grapefruit Grove cardstock where there is no embossing paste.
Fold the front of the card on the score line so the fold makes a mountain.
Put 3-1/2" strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the bottom of the card front only so they are centered. Make sure they don't stick out to the sides too much.
Peel the protective backings off the Tear & Tape Adhesive strips. Adhere the Grapefruit Grove layer to the front of the card. Make sure it is only adhered to the bottom of the card front so it will work as an easel card.
