Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips Scissors:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of yellow plaid pattern from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2" square from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" x 2-1/4" from Pecan Pie Cardstock
- 7/8" x 2-1/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1/2" x 4-1/2" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 1/2" x 4" of dotted flight paths on red background design from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the paths are horizontal on the horizontal strip
- 3 different honey bottles cut out by hand from Bee Mine 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Pecan Pie strip. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the branch die from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put it on top of the Pecan Pie strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Pecan Pie (brown) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Be sure to leave the protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the small bee hive die from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put it on top of the Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the bee hive cut out and the branch cut out on the vertical yellow plaid Bee Mine Designer Paper rectangle so they are in the upper left corner as shown.
Mount the set of three little bees image from the Fluffiest Friends Set on Block A. Carefully ink up only one of the bees with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bee hive just above the opening as shown. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up only two of the bees on the image on Block A with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp them near the top of the designer paper rectangle just to the right of the end of the branch as shown. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Ink up the entire bees image on Block A with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp them around the bee hive on the designer paper rectangle as shown two times. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and slightly vary the orientation. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Adhere the branch cut out to the stamped designer paper rectangle by removing the protective backing. Adhere the bee stamped bee hive in place with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin flight paths Bee Mine Designer Paper strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide one short edge of the thin Daffodil Delight strip into the right side of the unlocked Happy Labels Pick A Punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Bee My Valentine Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "you're as sweet as honey" sentiment from the Bee My Valentine Set on Block H. Ink up the words "you're as sweet as" using the side of the brush tip of the Sweet Sorbet Marker. Ink up only the word "honey" using the side of the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Marker. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the punched strip as close as possible to the left edge with the punched edge on the left.
Adhere the stamped and punched sentiment strip to the designer paper rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom and the punched edge almost touches the left edge of the designer paper. Adhere the punched flight path designer paper strip to the designer paper rectangle so it is just above the sentiment strip with the left, punched edge about 5/8" from the left side.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off all excess cardstock and designer paper on the left and right edges of the designer paper rectangle.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
Mount the bunny rabbit with cupcake image from the Fluffiest Friends Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the matching bunny rabbit die from the Fluffiest Friends Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Place the bunny rabbit cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the bunny's nose and pads on the bottoms of his feet.
Use the Medium Natural Tones Stampin' Blends and Medium Light Natural Tones Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the bunny rabbit.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends to remove any excess color and blend the edges.
Don't worry about coloring in the cupcake as it will be covered.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out three honey jars from the Bee Mine Designer Paper.
Adhere one of the cut out honey jars to the colored bunny rabbit cut out so it covers the cupcake.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the bunny cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the top of the punched designer paper strip and is about 7/8" from the right side of the card.
Adhere the other two honey jar cut outs in place so they overlap the top of the punched designer paper strip a bit and are tucked behind the left and right sides of the bunny cut out as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the Sweet Sorbet 1/4" Bordered Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot at a slight angle to the right side of the card so it is centered over the Daffodil Delight strip between the end of the sentiment and the right side of the card.
