F un Easter card with faux suede bunnies using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Misty Moonlight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Boho Blue Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 5" of blue rabbits and flower and leaves on blue background design from Countryside Inn 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the rabbits are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2-3/4" from Boho Blue Cardstock
Insert the large Boho Blue rectangle into the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Boho Blue rectangle to the front of the Misty Moonlight card.
Pick out the die from the Countryside Corners Dies that cuts out a label that is 2-7/8" x 4-1/2". Put it on top of the Countryside Inn Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1/2" from the top of the card.
Cut a 4-1/4" piece of the Boho Blue 3/8" Textured Ribbon so it has a sharp angle on each end.
Adhere a 3" strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the center of the designer paper label cut out. Remove the protective backing and adhere the ribbon across the center of the designer paper label cut out.
Mount the "happy Easter" sentiment from the Excellent Eggs Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Misty Moonlight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small Boho Blue rectangle.
Pick out the die from the Countryside Corners Dies that cuts out a label that is 3/4" x 2-3/8". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the back of the sentiment label cut out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the sentiment label cut out to the center of the designer paper label cut out so it is centered over the ribbon.
Unlock the Easter Bunny Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the white cardstock rectangle into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Rub the bunny punch out over a long edge of the Bone Folder repeatedly. Change the direction of the punch out and Bone Folder every so often. Distress the entire punch out completely until the cardstock starts to separate.
Very carefully pull the separated cardstock apart until you have two bunny punch outs facing opposite directions and having a soft, fuzzy surface on one side of each piece.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the two fuzzy bunny punch outs to the front of the card as shown so they are facing away from each other and the tails overlap a bit. Make sure to put the glue on the smooth sides of the punch outs so the fuzzy sides are face up on the card.
